Caradina got a reaction from 18kDays in I Can't Believe Im This Damn Broke....
I'm with Dr. Rodriguez and am financing. My credit is pretty crappy, I had a bankruptcy a few years ago and a high debt to income ratio. I got approved, with $2500 down and will pay for the remaining $6000 monthly for 2.5 years. I figure I'll get it paid off, and then do the same thing for plastics if I need to. I am uninsured, and am working a temp job. I went through beliteweight.com, and they approved me right away. I can't say if they will approve you or not, but it's worth a try, and their paperwork is VERY legit, they don;t charge a huge financing fee, and it's giving me an opportunity to get on with my life that I wouldn't have otherwise. Pair with that the facte that he is an amazing surgeon, working out of a first class hospital, and it's a no brainer! I wish you luck!

Thanks Helen! Ok... stopping the worrying. LOL Belite has been awesome so far, very quick to respond, and getting all of the paperwork in was easy and very professionally managed. I'm not worried about much, I just hate hospitals. I've received some horrifying care here in Detroit in the last year, so from what I hear, the TJ hospital will be a leap up. Who would have thought?

Oh no!! I'm going to TJ at the end of March with Dr. Rod. I picked him because of his experience with scar tissue as well, because I have had 5 laproscopic procedures for reproductive issues in that same area. I hadn't heard anything bad about TJ before this.... Now I'm alittle worried. It sounds no worse than the care I received recently at a Detroit hospital though... Sad. I'm hoping it was a fluke, Because I'm traveling alone, I need those nurses to help me, because I'm going to struggle if I need to self advocate too much.

I went to Tijuanna, MX in March for my sleeve with Dr. Jose Rodriguez. It was wonderful, so much better than the horrifying care I have gotten in US hospitals. (I have had 20 surgeries in my lifetime, every one a terrible experience, except the sleeve in MX). My story is much like everyone elses. My Doc was awesome, his staff was courteous and skilled, the hospital was clean and beautiful, I stayed 3 days.... I'm going back to MX for a Tummy Tuck when I hit goal.

This is called hypotention...its where your blood pressure is lower than what the body is used to. This happened early in my Sleeve experience, especially after I worked out and sat in my recliner for a spell. After a few months it stopped. Its just going on as your body is going through its major adjustments in the beginning

I bought a fabulous dress in a 10/12/L from Nordstroms because it was deeply discounted and amazing. i was thinking I'd wear it at goal... but it fit 15 lbs ago, and is getting alittle big now... I'm getting it tailored, but I bet that once my last 25 lbs are gone, it'll be too big... LOL

Okay, I'm going to say something that probably won't be very popular. But , why shower him with attention and make HIM feel special???? She works , she busts her butt. Why can't HE cook and clean? How about him make HER feel special, like I'm sure he use to do, or she wouldn't have married him. I know that I see my Hubby in some of this. We have a two year old. He works ; I stay home with our child. He thinks I do nothing all day.... We don't have sex anymore. And, I mean , we have had sex 3 times, maybe 4, since our child was born, and only once while I was pregnant. A huge part of me gaining so much weight is due to being ignored and neglected. I gained the majority of my weight with being pregnant. So, it's only been a few years that I gained 50 pounds. I'm short though, so 50 pounds is a lot on me.... When we had a more steady sex life, It's never been extraordinary, but I was in better shape, felt much better about myself. I am not appreciated. I am sure this sleever feels unappreciated as well. My procedure is next week, 27th. Can't wait! I tell you what, I won't be kissing his butt afterwards, or trying to make him feel special. LOL Sorry to those who disagree. I am just speaking from my own, personal perspective. : )

When you build a life with someone, especially after so many years, you get to know them as they are - you accept everything about them. After surgery, the only you they ever knew is very rapidly changing into someone that (at least for some) they've never known. That makes some happy, others scared, and for a lot of people, insecure. As large people, many of us were insecure - we need to remember that our spouse/significant others are very involved in our changes after surgery. I wonder if the divorce rate is less for couples who both get the surgery around the same time?

It wouldn't be bright red if it was coming from your stomach. Bright red means fresh. It's most likely a hemroid or an anal fissure (tear- from straining) , but just to be sure, call your doc.

I don't track my fluids, but In a way I do. I don't record them, but I have a 24 oz water bottle that goes everywhere with me. I make myself drink 4 fills of it daily. No matter what. Done. It's easier for me that way.

Ok..I am gonna play the devil's advocate here.........what did granny panties ever do to you to deserve your shunning of them? Did they not provide you comfort? Did they not protect your "good" panties from being soiled when you menstrated? Did they not keep you wedgie free and best of all cottony dry? Did she not caress your tushy gently without chaffing? Why..with such discrimination, it's hard to believe the granny panty has stood the test of time..but she has and will forever be there when you need her. She will never be as sexy as that little black lacy thong, but she will be loyal to the end. Thank you granny panty..you will always have a special place in my underwear drawer...

I'm with you. I try to eat sensibly, but I have something little and sweet every day. I smoke socially, I drink occasionally, I have a small glass of soda every day. I'm almost 6 months out, my weightloss is great and I feel wonderful. No problems here. I could easily drive myself crazy with all of the balancing of the Proteins and other things, but its just not happening here.

You know, I'm NOT telling you to exercise. You should, you know that. I don't. I should. I know that. Enough said. LOL
Now... I plateaued for about 2 months. NO LOSS. I lost alittle bit in inches... like maybe an inch on my hips. I was sad, rage filled, in dispair... and then, for some reason, my body let it go. I'm talking 14 lbs in one week. I don't get it. I didn't change anything. It just happened. It's done this before in smaller increments, so it's par for the course I guess. It's common to lose in stair steps. My doctor said that it's because we have undergone such a huge change so fast that the body kind of stops and adjusts from time to time. Some lucky people go down steadily, but not most.
So don't lose hope. Keep eating sensibly, jornal your food, drink enough Water, and try to exercise if you can. Try not to stress, and be patient. I also agree with Cookeeeeez. Eat alittle more. Heck, I even will add a small bowl of ice cream here and tehre to break a stall. Just use caution. LOL
