  1. I'm just really frustrated. I feel like all this exercise is working against me. I really don't get it.
  2. I felt strong, up until about a half hour ago, I just had a meltdown at work and started crying like a baby, and I mean baby. I am starting to act like I'm need to be institutionalized! Ahhhhh!
  3. I swear, I'm not weighing again until I see my doc on december 5
  4. Thats from the pizza... I'm actually totally depressed. I stepped on the scale too, and I probably shouldn't have. I resolved about a month and a half ago to not step on the home scale anymore, I almost threw it out, it made me that crazy. I just use the docs scale, I usually see her every six weeks anyways. Well, I jumped on today and noticed absolutely no change. WTH. I feel like I have been working so hard, and the junk food has absolutely changed. I was eating junk just about every day for a while (I was in a slight rut), and lately its only been one to two times per week. We're not eating at restaurants anymore, I've traded ground hamburger for ground turkey, no potatoes, no rice, no bread, lots of fruit and veggies. I even stopped eating so much cheese (mmmm, I love cheese). WTH?!!?!?! I know for sure I'm getting smaller, I'm in a smaller size and everything. Why won't the numbers move? I really try hard to not think numbers and think more about sizes, and how my clothes feel, and measuring, but for crying out loud, can't the scale move just a bit? Arg. Sorry, I'm really frustrated! I am so ready to cry!
  5. Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out if I'm moving on to week 3 or not.
  6. ok, so I took a raincheck on the spinning, I really want to rest my legs, because I'm hoping to move on to week 3 next week for couch to 5k. My legs have been so sore since my first run on monday, and yesterday I just tried to power through...
  7. Well, my running isn't pretty either, but when whosyadaddy said the cowboy/cowgirl thing, that definately had me cracking up!:biggrin1:
  8. cowgirl, huh....I think my running is a prettier picture than the cowboy thing...lmao
  9. ooohhh, sassy, I like that!
  10. Completely weird, I'm dreading it. The back of my legs are KILLING me. I'm so sore. And when I woke up this morning my heal spur was really bothering me, but when I'm running it doesn't act up. That's weird.
  11. As it should be....
  12. You should try it, I don't think that theres anything girly about it. I asked my bf if he would come to a class with me, and he didn't want to because he said it was girly and he didn't want to be the only guy there. By the way, he's going...
  13. Not too many guys in my spin class, I don't know why but I think people think its girly?!?
  14. Theres a spin class tonight at my gym and I was thinking of going because I skipped tuesday, but I'm super scared!!!
  15. And you decided to elect yourself?:heh:
  16. You already give us a hard time here, now we have to listen to a podcast?!? Losing, just take it easy for now. You definately don't want to really hurt yourself.
  17. Losing, I think I have it set right, I thought it was really high too. All it asked for was weight and I put in 268, but then I figured my heart rate skyrocketed everytime I ran, so maybe thats why?!? I don't know. cindyluhuk, I don't know too much about ipods. I have the regular 30gig ipod and have only had a problem once when I got it soaked with sweat (my own fault). I was looking at the cheaper shuffle, the one that has the clip and no screen for running and the gym since I find the armbands a little uncomfortable, but go check them out and see which one you like the best. I don't think there is a better one, it just depends what you are going to use it for. If you want to watch tv shows, music videos, etc, you'd have to go with the video ipod, but just for music, any of them would be fine. I don't use all the features on mine and sorta wish I had picked up the nano, but oh well!
  18. whos, did you eat any? bicycle crunches, not really what they sound like, and I hate them but my trainer is making me do them. Lying on your back, knees bent, arms behind neck, bring your right elbow and left knee together, then left elbow and right knee together, then repeat for 50, then take a break, then do 50 more. My trainer tries to get me to do 200, but I've only gotten up to 150. Never let your feet or head touch the ground during the set (well, your not supposed to, when I'm not with trainer I take a break). Sorry, not the greatest description...
  19. Well, I wasn't banded in october, but its really hard to find people from the area. I had my band placed in providence but live in southeast ma...
  20. just got back from c25k, 20 pushups, 100 bicycle crunches, and some stretching. OUCH...
  21. The podcast that we are downloading losing found and is awesome. Its set to the couch to 5k program and the guy tells you when to run, when to walk, warm up, cool down, etc, and there's really great music in the background. Sort of technoish. The podcast is located here: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f81/couch-5k-42879/
  22. Ok, just got back from my "run". I hope nobody gets offended that I put run in quotations, its more about me, I feel like I'm waddling more than running. Anyways, I really wasn't going to go tonight. I had to go grocery shopping, pay bills, cook dinner, and I may not have really wanted to go anyways. Well, after grocery shopping, I popped some Cookies in my mouth and declared I wasn't going to work out tonight. Even though I didn't last night. I said who cares! Then I put on my running sneakers, hooked up the new HR monitor, strapped the new ipod armbad on, flopped my hat on my head and ran out the door. Reminder, the treadmill said last time that I only burned 190+ calories, if I remember correctly. Let me just say that the HR monitor PAID FOR ITSELF IN ONE RUN!!!!! On my 30ish minute "run" the walk back to my house, about 10 minutes, 100 bicycle crunches, 20 pushups, and a 10 minute total body stretch I burned 1,065 calories?!?!?!?!? How does that happen? Now I'm really wondering how many calories are burned during spin, on the elliptical, with my trainer, etc. Are the machines really that skewed? I was figuring a number somewhere around 400-600 calories, but over 1000? That's just crazy!
  23. Yeah, and usually in the beginning the instructor has us warm up by standing up, and basically lowering your upper body over the handlebars (think pushup), then pushing up to an almost standup position, then repeating about 10 times. It works all the little muscles because you really have to stabilize yourself.
  24. Ok, I just wanted to make sure I'm not cheating, even though I know for sure that I need to walk a little slower cause otherwise I'll fall over and start twitching and drooling....
