  2. You are not missing anything at Justines. Greasy southern food, that is all! You will be able to eat again but you have to let your tummy heal. I am 9 days out from surgery and I am on mushies. All docs are different. I went out to lunch the other day and asked for Soup, it was minestrone, and i asked them to put it through a blender for me. It was no problem. Maybe you can try that?
  3. Weight X 11 = amt. of calories needed to maintain weight. Example: 150 lb person needs to eat 1,650 calories per day to maintain 150.
  4. 180 g of carbs is sky high! My doc wants me to keep mine under 40 g. Protein is at least 60 g. he doesnt give me calories.
  5. I know this is a weird question but I just went to mushies and I'm not really sure what I am feeling. I am only having 2 oz of whatever and I don't really feel much different while eating than I do while drinking. However, I get towards the end of the 2 oz and start to feel a 'tightness'. Is this what I'm looking for? It doesnt hurt, just gets tighter. If I finish the 2 oz, like I did at dinner, I get a little flushed feeling. Is this normal? Another question: Will I find a big difference when I convert to solid Proteins? I think I am trying to compare the full feeling I used to get with my band to what I am feeling with the sleeve and its not even close. Thank you!
  6. I take Flintstones and B12 Bariatric Advantage chewables, I have no trouble even on an empty stomach.
  7. That is a whole lot of peanut butter!
  8. I have been gettiing my vitamin and B12 in since day 5 after surgery.
  9. My surgery was 6/17 and I have not had that "hunger" feeling since than! I hope this is the real deal because I likey!
  10. Weigh in today and I am down 8 lbs in my first week since revision surgery! Yay me! I never thought I'd be seeing 156 ever again on my scale but thats what it said! 16 lbs to goal and than maintenance....my band couldn't get me there but I just know my sleeve will! I feel great, moved to pureed today and I'll be on pureed for the next 3 weeks. I am getting about 48 oz of Water in not counting the other fluids in my Protein drinks, tea, etc. My doc says I am doing great. No pain at all and I am not hungry at all. I really thought that I would be one who still felt hunger but nothing. If this is a dream, I do not want to wake up!
  11. I will be one week out from surgery tomorrow. As of today, I am able to drink 16 oz of water in about 20 minutes, an 8 oz cup of tea in about 10 or so, protein drink in about 20 minutes. Liquids are going down much more easily today as compared to yesterday. I feel like the swelling has gone down quite a bit. I had some cottage cheese at lunch and that was gurgling A LOT. Definitely didn't go down as smooth as liquids. Tomorrow I start pureed...yay!!!!
  12. So glad everything went well for you! I am 5 days out and only needed the pain meds once when I got home...no pain to speak of other than soreness when getting up as you described.
  13. congrats! You look great!
