  1. I chose the sleeve because I did not like all of the complications that came with the band and read about all of the revisions, and figured, with my medical luck (or lack there of) I would be one of those that would HAVE to have a revision lol so why not go there first.
  2. You go girl! i have no doubt you will make to the end or rather the begining of you new life!
  3. July 8th is a special day, it was my Mom's b-day Good luck and you will find all the support you need and then some on this site. Ask any question you can think of and the people here are always willing to help.
  4. In a heart beat. My life has changed so much in just two months that I have cried because I was so overwhelmingly happy. Not because of the weight loss because I am losing slowly, but because my health has gotten so dramatically better.
  5. You are doing so great! Keep up the good work girl, you are rocking your sleeve!
  6. Your triglycerides are affected by fat. Keep fat out of your diet and they will go down. I have hereditary high triglycerides, to the point of being in the thousands if I don't take meds and watch my diet. My docs all had me on a no to low fat diet because of them. Hope all goes well. But I think your surgeon will not have an issue with doing the surgery, mine were 356 3 weeks post op can you imagine what they were pre op?? Normal is 200 and under.
  7. For the most part most people are in for a day and a half to 2 days.
  8. I didn't have to pay the hospital up front, but I did have to pay my surgeon the difference that the insurance didn't cover prior to surgery. Now I got a bill for 2600 from the hospital, can we say payment plan? LOL
  9. Once I started drinking my coffee again everything was just fine LOL.
  10. I think you all are doing great!!!
  11. YOU GO!!!! YOU GO!!!! YOU GO!!!! YOU ROCK BIG TIME GIRL!!! NOW THATS HOW YOU GO AND KICK SOME ASS!!! Congratulations, I am sooooooooo happy for you.
  12. I use one a day gummies. A little pricey but I do three servings a day and makes me feel like I'm eating candy LOL. Since I am on solids and can eat everything and anything I am ok. Of course I stay away from the whites but make sure I get my veg in pretty often too. Oh and a side note, speaking of candy, Atkins protein bars, OMG good stuff, anytime I feel I need choc candy this is what I have . Satisfies it all for me. LOL and it doesn't make my sugars go up!
  13. My doc said swimming after one month. I would hold off on the rafting.
  14. You look amazing. With that kind of determination, I know you will make a great Mom.
  15. WOW that is amazing! You rocked that sleeve!
  16. Feel better soon! My thoughts are with you sweetie!
  17. You know I'm doing a happy dance just for you Kelly! Great Job!
  18. One month post op and my doc said one cup a day. I've exceeded this but have been fine.
  19. I am just the opposite, pre op I was a gassy mess, all day long, burping and tooting! Post op almost nothing, if I toot well make sure the path to the bathroom is clear, LOL, if I burp its cause I'm done eating or so my sleeve is telling me so.
  20. My doc says for the sleeve that a minimum of 60 and a maximum of 90.
  21. I am not looking at the scale anymore. The stall has freaked me out, up down up down. I tried not to sweat it but ... oh well, that only worked for a while. When I saw it break I told my hubby to hide the scale and to only bring it out on the 27th of each month. Because I don't have a lot to lose at this point it is coming off REALLY REALLY slow. So I would rather see 3-4 lbs at the end of the month than see the yo yo on a daily. Great job to you too Kemo!
  22. Thanks, all. My next day off of FKB is Wednesday and I plan on trying to walk at least 3 miles.
  23. I told my doc that I was on here and he said GREAT! He said the more information you know the better you are. He did warn me though that not everything I read will apply to me but I already knew that, duh LOL, everyone is different and goes through different experiences. As far as not being big enough, you have two people with MD after their names that disagree. Get rid of that therapist pronto!
