  1. Thanks for the juicy fruit tip!! Amazing idea!! (And, daydreamer, I am a gulper too..lol!!!) I really worry about this but I gues like everything else we will adapt-they say in 3 weeks you can kick a bad habit, right? Maybe this will be mastered in our first three weeks!
  2. Can anyone tell me..will I ever be able to eat a meal and drink water at the same time again? I am sooo concerned about this. I get really thirsty while I am eating and can't imagine having to wait 20 minutes or so AFTER a meal to take a sip of water...is this a forever thing? Thanks guys!!
  3. AMAZING!!!!!! GORGEOUS GIRL!!!!! Congrats to you!
  4. My docotr says to get Icopure but many people in my support group meeting hate this...I heard that Biochem is a good one...Any favorites out there? I do no want one that is gritty and prefer something smooth..where can I get samples from? Thanks so much ! This forum has already been so extremely helpful. I have to start my pre op 14 day liquids on April 13th and I don't know what to stock up on...
  5. Ask your docotr if you can have non starchy veggies at dinner time (like celery, lettuce, radish, mushroom with vinegar) Mine said that was okay. I have to do the liquid diet for FOURTEEN DAYS!!!!!! I know we will all get through this and it will be worth it in the end. !!!! All the best, Vanessa
  6. :rolleyes:Hi Susan! congrats to you on your surgery date-I am being sleeved on the 27th!!! We are 2 days apart-like you, I had some non supporters but ultimately it is a decision we need to make for ourselves and our well being. I am happy to hear you were able to lose some on your own-I haven't and have 126 to lose. This forum has been such an amazing support for me as I know it will be for you. Good Luck! We are two days apart-keep in touch! Vanessa

  9. Being sleeved ont he 27th..I love all the replies to this post...I thought when I was going to the regrets thread there would be alot of negative talk and I am so comforted to hear that there are no real regrets..every person I have asked says the same thing..their only regret was not doing it sooner..I am being brave and am looking forward to a skinny and healthier me...this is forum is amazing..thanks everyone.
  10. Thanks for the post-how often do you need to follow up with the surgeon after year one? Is it once a year for the rest of your life? I am gettgin sleeved on the 27th of April and I am sooo nervous about the ,ong term effects...please advise..
  11. My insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) too said 6 months but then I had my docotr write the needed medical neccessity letter and he included in the lettter my past 10 month visits (he is one of those doctors tha takes weight durign EVERY visit) so anyway, that did it! Does your primamry happen to have your weight history for the past 6 months? If so that may work for you. Good Luck. I am being sleeved on 4/27. I started the process about 7 weeks ago...it was fast for me..
