Cant believe how much that hurt! BUT i am feeling so much better each day. I am like a beached whale...cannot get up or down by myself--the fam finds this quite amusing. dont even try laughing...killer pain. I am still taking oral pain meds but not as much. I am getting in some protein and water. Curiously i am thinking about real food...the tv ads are ridiculous. never realized every other commericial was for a restaurant. I have faith that this is gonna all be worth it. first preop appt tomorrow.

I am so excited. I had my pre-op visit with the surgeon today. My surgery is all set to go for Thursday a.m. Cant believe its only 3 days away. Did not sleep a wink last night. Ive been looking at before and after pictures. Needless to say I am obsessed....

Thank you for sharing that with us...im eleven days away and feeling a little nervous. You just reminded me of all the reason I want to do this surgery. Heres to continued success! Joining you soon!

Kerri...I keep alternating between worrying that I will lose weight and then gain it all back and then some AND worrying that the surgery will not work for me and I will have done all this work for nothing. Still eating lots!! LOL. So glad we all have each other to worry with. 17 days until my sleeve!!

18 days!! My doctor has not mentioned any kind of pre-op liquid diet. I am eating like a crazed fiend. Anybody losing sleep yet?:001_tongue:

That is amazing...you know employees in Doctors offices forget that we have no clue how these things work. She should have been much more sensitive. For heavens sake its like they forget that we are all paying their salaries!! Hang in there. The waiting is horrible but you will get your date!!

Boy this whole thing is really scary. I guess we all have this huge worry that we wont lose weight or that we will lose and gain it all back(as I have done so many times). I am hoping this will be just the spark I need to get me on the right track to leading a healthy, happy and LONG life! Good luck.

Hey Des...you are going to be so successful! My surgery date is October 7th. Im a little nervous too...BUT, I know I need to get this weight off and keep it off. Good luck you are gonna do just fine!

Hi JC Mom! I too have Cigna. I did the 6 month was submitted and denied because my bmi was 39.6 and I had no comorbids. The very next day I went to my PCP and reweighed--got a letter from him also. Appealed! Took about a week but I got my approval yesterday! My sleeve is set for October 7th.

Wahoo!! After one denial(and appeal) Cigna did approve my surgery and I am slated for October 7th!! So excited.

That is so exciting. I got my approval yesterday! Isn't it a relief? My surgery is October 7th and I cant wait. Good luck to you!
