  1. Ok, you got me! I just had to look!
  2. Good Morning, Cindy - Wow lady, you look great! What a difference! Go ahead and take that picture with the pants, then keep them and take another one later when you reach goal! Bettina - Sounds like you are well on your way! It will be here before you know it! Sherry - Your trip sounds so great! I knew I should have hid in your suitcase and went along! 2 pounds is nothing, just fluff weight! Dianne - Congrats, you have done well with your band. You are so close to goal! Darcy - What ya doing girl? Have you heard from Becky? She needs to get back here! Eileen - I was dying for a hot dog a month ago, tried it and it went down fine, then the other night I tried a piece of bread and almost died! WTF! Well, I know I missed some of you, but with DH home in the morning it is even harder to get on here. I'll try to catch up more later. Y'all have a great day!
  3. I have taken blood pressure meds for a long time, and they have never caused weight gain for me. There are so many different types out there, I would suggest talking to your doctor and trying something else. Good Luck!
  4. Good Morning Y'all! Welcome back Cindy, and Happy Bandiversary! You have the right attitude about your band, and you have done well with it. Glad you had such a great time on your trip. Darcy - I know you have been struggling with your band for quite sometime, but now that they have found other things wrong too, I would certainly wait and see what results you get now. Hang in there girl, just come and vent when you get frustrated! Patty - Thank you for the advise on the date. Actually we did just that, we talked about it all, laughed about it too. We drank some drinks and toasted to a better job in the future. I know we are both worried, but things will work out. I told DH that we have been through a lot worse than this before, and we have always come out of it. My DB and his family is coming over today and we will have a great time with them. I truely believe everything happens for a reason, and maybe we don't like it or it hurts is, but there is a reason behind it. Thanks for all the kind words from all of you. I can't begin to tell you how much it means. Anne - My foot is actually a little bit better, I don't have all the swelling anymore, but I keep a brace on it or tight leather boots so it is pressing the bone part back to my foot. I don't walk at all without the brace and inserts. It still hurts, but my foot is actually starting to look better too. Thanks for asking. DH is a diesel mechanic. Good morning to all that hasn't posted, I am going to cut this short, I have a lot to do before my company gets here. I have a brisket and some chicken that I took out of the freezer, and I am going to put it on the smoker. Catch you all later, have a wonderful day! Hugs to all of you!
  5. Good Morning, Well, when it rains, it pours! My DH has now lost his job, and that is really going to hurt since we just used up all our savings for when I was off so long. Gosh, I sure hope he finds something really fast! You just never know when things like this are going to happen. People need to let their workers have a little notice! This couldn't have come at a worse time for us, it might make us lose everything this time. Kat - You are still in my prayers. Eileen - Glad to hear some of the surgery is out of the way, but that sure is a long time to wait. I didn't do well with my eating at all yesterday, and needless to say I had some wine to go along with my whining. Darcy - Please don't feel like you aren't working with the band, you have done good with it, I saw pictures to prove it. I haven't lost for a long time either, I will lose 5 lbs and then gain it right back. But, I know this band is keeping me from gaining and gaining and gaining. Head issues are bad for me, I want to eat junk when I am not even hungry. I will eat and wonder why it really doesn't taste as good or fills me up on one or two bites, and it's all because I am already full! Plain head hunger! Hang in there sweety! Patty - Hope you have a great trip! Dads can be so cruel sometimes, but usually in the end, they regret it when their kids don't have time for them when they are older. Dianne - Wow, girlie you are doing great! Congrats to you!:clap2: :clap2: Anne - I love to play poker! congrats on the win!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Hello, Donna, Sherry, Cindy, Pat, Beanie and the other ones I missed. My head just isn't too straight today. Well, I am going to go looking on the internet for jobs for DH. Catch you all later!
  6. Awwwww Kat, my heart goes out to you. I will keep you and all your family in my prayers. They always say God doesn't put more on our plate than we can take, so he must think you have good shoulders. I know you are going through a lot right now, but do remember to take a few minutes to rest a little, you will need it now for sure. After your DM gets her shoulder set or in a sling, she will be able to manage by herself. Hopefully that will ease your schedule a little bit. I wish I lived closer, I would come and help you in a minutes time. Hugs, and good wishes are coming your way! Gotta run, DH left for work later than usual and I am really late this morning.
  7. Opps, I forgot: Eileen - I did pretty good eating yesterday, although I did have a couple of fries last night at supper. My foot was hurting so bad, I just fixed some fish and fries. Later!
  8. Good Morning Y'all! Boy, I am really running late this morning! Where did the time go??? Looking for shoes I think! Well, I don't exactly know if the appointment went good or bad, lots of bad but since I don't know this doctor at all, I am going to play for a while. First of all, I have the flattest feet God put on this earth. Anytime I have any problem at all with my feet of course they blame the flat feet, and this time was no exception. He said the lump on my foot was my bone, and hopefully that I haven't done any damage to the tendons, etc inside my foot. He said when you do damage to them, then you are looking at major surgery on the foot and it isn't good. He put me in a temp cast, one of those big boots things, and when I got home and walked for a while in it, my back and legs were killing me. It makes one leg about 5-6 inches longer than the other one, so it throws you whole body off. And, of course my insurance wouldn't pay for it either, so that was $270 out of my pocket for just the boot. Then the inserts were another $28, and the office call $35 and what am I wearing this morning, my Harley boots with the inserts. I don't even know if I can wear these! It's hard to take a flat foot and put a arch thing under it. But, if I wear that boot all day, then my back which is already bad will be the next thing to go! He also wanted me to go for an MRI, to see what damage has been done, but I just can't afford it right now, so it's a wait and see if the inserts will help me or not. I don't even know if the boss will let me wear these boots when I get there or if it will be a no-no. They are very strick with dress/shoes. A different lady in the office has been having a different kind of foot problem and she went in and told her that it felt much better when she was in a tennis shoe, and the boss told her only on friday at casual day. So, I guess I'll find out. The temp is still really hot 107 degrees, and then the weather man said yesterday, that is the temp in the shade since that is how they take it here, and it you want the actual temp in the sun at 5-6 degrees to that! Well, my friends, I am out of time, and all I did was moan and cry about my foot! I'll try to get back tonight and do more personals. Y'all have a great day!
  9. Morning Y'all! It hit 107 here yesterday, and let me tell you it was darn hot! I spent a lot of time in the pool when I got home, and it felt good. It's the only way I really enjoy exercise:D Today is my doctor's appointment with my foot. I am glad it is here, yet worried about what he is going to tell me. He just best know what he is doing! Darcy - It's so nice to have you back and posting! Your daughter sounds like a sweety, and it's always nice to see how much they missed you. Eileen - I stayed good on food all day and night, how about you? Donna - Hope you made it home alright, I know you must be tired from the trip. Anne - Hey girl, how ya doing? Kat - Is DH feeling any better? I just can't imagine the nerves that he must be living with, with all the waiting. Mary - Hope things are going better for you, divorce is a rough thing to go through. Beanie - are you rested up? Dianne - Hey girl, how are you feeling? Hope you didn't get too sore from the accident. Patty - How are you managing with all the heat and no air? Pat - Hey girl! We miss you! Cindy and Sherry - I bet you girls are just having too much fun! Well, the clock tells me it is time to go! Gotta get dressed for work, and fix my lunch. I have been taking salads for a long time, I really love them, but the last couple times I could hardly eat them, guess I am getting burned out on them. Now, I don't know what I want to take. hmmmmmmm
  10. Good Morning Y'all! Another hot one today, they are calling for 104, with a heat index of 106-109. Our pool is like a bathtub, not refreshing at all, but still nice to go into. The heat is burning up a lot of my flowers though, we have big umbrellas over some of them. Mary - Happy bandiversary! I am already running late this moring, so I will try to check back this evening.
  11. Penni - I know what a hard decision this is for you to make, but I know you will make the one that is right for you. Just take your time and don't rush into anything. You'll know in time which one you really want. Good Luck!
  12. Awwww Shelly, you look beautiful, and your pictures are so pretty. I had to keep looking at them they were so beautiful. You look great together, and you can see the love shine on both of you!
  13. Hello Y'all! It's really Hot here! We got all our outside work done early this morning when it was 83! I think I might go out and so a little swimming, but the pool is so warm it's like taking a bath! Eileen - I'll play with you! I really have to get serious, I just keep eating all the wrong stuff. I'll shoot for one day of good food, then another and another till I get back right. Keep on my butt! Donna - Have a safe trip! We are going to San Marcos the first weekend in August and do the rafing. All my neighbors are going, it should be fun. We are going to spend the weekend, then go to San Antonio to shop and lunch. I'm looking forward to it. Catch y'all later! Everyone must be enjoying their weekend.
  14. Sometime we lose inches instead of pounds. Maybe you just need that new fill. Good Luck!
  15. Welcome to LBT and to bandland!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
  16. Good Morning Y'all! Just a quick check in, on my way to the bank and some quick shopping and get back off this foot. The swelling was better yesterday, but the pain is awful. I can't wait till Tuesday gets here and I can see what the Doctor says, although I am afraid of what he will say too! I am just tired of the hurting all the time. Kat - How sweet of you, his name is Chris Larrison. He is a sweet, boy, and it is hard for me to think of him gone to the service, he just seems so young yet. Eileen - How is your niece? Hopefully all the prayers has helped her. Please let us know when you get a chance. Anne - I got the same picture, and it's so cute! Just like a boy huh? Beanie - hope you get some well deserved rest! Patty - good things come to those who wait, so I know your day is coming. Darcy - You must be a the cabin this weekend. Hope you have a good time. Pat - You must be riding the river! Stop and let us know how you are! Well, going to get moving before it gets too how, they are saying 103 today, so I need to get home fast! Later!
  17. Good Morning Y'all! Eileen - My prayers ware with you and your family, please keep up posted. Don't worry about the boss, just do what you have to do. Hugs! Cindy - Hope you have a great time! I know you are excited. Dianne - I hope you are feeling better today. Donna - What a beautiful picture and a good looking young man you have! Anne - Hello, we have missed you! Darcy - How you doing girl? Sherry - Your trip sounds awsome, wish I would fit in your suitcase, or in Cindy's! Kat - I get emotional too, it's alright, it just means you are a kind and caring person. Mary - Hello! Don't work too hard! I know this is short, but running behind already this morning. I think all this pain in my foot and me fighting it has me worn out. My nephew (18 years old) left yesterday for the Navy. He is such a sweetheart. His Dad and Grandpa took him to Hooter's for his last meal here with them. Then they took him to the Motel and stayed until they had to leave. I am very proud of him for going, and pray that he will be safe. He is a very good kid, and he is very special. It's hot here, it was 102 yesterday! Gotta run!
  18. Howdy! Cindy - Your trip sounds neat, hope you have a ball! I am not much on the tattoo stuff, but we need to see some pictures, that's for sure. Dianne - Awwwww, you poor girl! You know the third day is usually the worst with the pain stuff, so be careful and if you start hurting be sure to get to the doctor. I did the same as Cindy, I didn't go when some guy hit me and then the insurance didn't want to pay me for missing a day of work. If you hurt, go get proof! I sure hope you feel better tomorrow! Hugs! Donna - Have a safe trip, and take some pictures. I do my own hair too! I went to beautician school so I have been doing mine most of my life! I even cut my dh's too! Well, I found a Foot/Ankle Doctor that is close to my work. I don't know anything about him, but he has all kinds of certificates, medical stuff you know, and he has an office in Dallas and Arlington. I can't get in till next Tuesday, so I will just keep icing it as much as possible and stay off of it as much as I can. Well, going to go get that ice put back on it!
  19. Good Morning Y'al! I called my PCP yesterday, and he referred me to a Sports Medicine Doctor, only problem is he is way too far for me to go! So, I am just going to look for one around me. He always sends me to the best doctors, and I always have faith in the ones he sends me to, but I can't drive that far! Then when I went to call yesterday, I remembered that DH said they are switching insurance again at work, so now I have to see who they are with. Hopefully he can find out for me today! Kat - Have a safe trip! I'm glad you get to check out DH doc while you are there. How cool that your DH won and donated it back to the family! Mary - Hello girl! Darcy - Hey maybe when they fix this problem for you then the band will work properly for you. Glad you had a great time on your B-day! Eileen - I though about you yesterday, I went to the shoe store and they had purses up to 70% off! I didn't go near them, I would have taken a car load home. Cindy - I feel the exact same way you do about the fill. The tighter you are the more chance of problems. I need a little too, but have been putting it off. I haven't lost anything in so long, but still I feel like I should be able to do it without anymore fill. Now, if I can keep my fingers out of the bad stuff! Dianne - Have a safe trip and have fun at the dinner! Well, I know I have missed some of you, but I am definately running late this morning, I am not dressed yet and still have to pack my lunch. So I will catch you all later. Have a great day, and smile at someone, you'll make their day! :)
  20. Good Morning Y'all! Darcy - Happy Birthday! Sure hope you have a great one! You crack me up with your canoe trip! My DH and I took one one year on the river. I was paddling my a$$ off, my arms were hurting and I thought man this is not fun. I turned around to tell DH something and he was not paddling, he had his feet kicked up and laughing! Needless to say, he paddeled all the way back upstream all by himself, it wasn't so funny then! Sherry - Hey girl, I do most of mine at Walmart or Penny's. I still have to try on everything, but I gave up on all the other stores. what happened to the time the same size was the same all over. Just pick out what you like, and forget the size tags, sometimes I think they do that just to make you look at everything. Eileen - I am like you, I have tons of purses and shoes! Those seem to have been my two favorite things to buy before. Now, I kinda like to do the clothers thing more. Patty - You'll get there, just be patient! Sorry about the possible surgery for the son, keep us posted. Donna - I will never rent again, we did it for a few years before we moved here, too much work to clean up after renters. One of our renters moved and took all the light bulbs, the knobs off the cabinets, the furniture and everything else that wasn't tied down. Then they called and wanted their deposit back! I told them I was pressing theft charges and they brought most of it back. You might just want to sell it and forget it! Cindy - I loved Nashville when I was there, but that was a long time ago! I bet it is still a neat place though. Dianne - I hope things are going better for you! Beanie - I thought about you this morning when I was reading the paper. Ikea was having a big sale, and I though I bet Beanie would be there! I wish I was there! Kat - Glad you are getting some badly needed rain! We got some here and it helped, but we need much more. Hope DH isn't going through too much with all this waiting. Thanks for all the kind and GOOD advice. Yes, I am going to call the doctor back, it is hurting alot and if the job people want to let me go, then it will just have to be. I have to think about me! I have a large hard place on the side of my foot that I think is the problem and while the swelling is down it hurts like heck! Of course I have sat till I am losing my mind, and freezing it with ice! My DB is home now, I don't know much more but thanks for all the prayers. My DA's are doing better too! You guys are wonderful! Later!
  21. Good Morning Y'all! TGIF! A short week and still isn't short enough! Dianne - I just went through what you are going through and it's not fun! The place I worked closed the doors and I was without work for a long time. I was so scared that we would lose everything we worked so hard for. After I got a job, I had about 10 other offeres. Go figure! Somehow we got through it and things are getting back to normal. I'll keep you both in my prayers! Cindy - I am also thinking about you and your family. Just remember, think about all the fun times and special moments, it will help pull you through. Hugs! Kat - Hopefully, after his surgery they job offer will come again. At least he can contact them and ask about it when he is feeling better. Darcy - Glad you are enjoying your vacation! Have fun! Daughter going to camp means you get some special time with DH! :) Sherry - Opps! I thought you said you had a blister! Your DH is such a sweetie! Mary - Sure hope you are feeling better! Pat - Girl, where are you? Can you come out and play? Eileen - You need a new boss! :D My foot is actually hurting me worse, the swelling is down, but the pain if awful. All day yesterday all I wanted to do was cry. I need to get back to the doctor, but just don't want to ask for more time off work. He told me if this medication didn't work he was going to send me to a Sports Doctor. I'll see what happens this weekend. I sat with ice on it all last night. Gotta run and get dressed for work.
  22. Good Morning Y'all! I actually overslept this morning by a half hour! I hate it when I do that, it messes up the whole day! I finally had a good eating day yesterday after all the bad eating!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Now, I just need to do it another day! I find when I get up and eat oatmeal for Breakfast, it stays with me longer. I also put some walnuts in it. Donna - I have been meaning to tell you I just love the necklace you DH got you. It is just beautiful! (Better keep that one around) :D Sorry about his DA, my prayers are with you and his family. :girl_hug: Eileen - It is hard to get through days of our loved ones death, it gets easier in time, but it never goes away. My thoughts are with you too. Cindy - I'm glad you still have your DD to be with you on this day. It will be a tough one, just try to remember and talk about all the good times y'all had together. When I look back at the good times me and mine had, it puts a smile on my face and in my heart. I miss mine so much all the time, but the good times are taking over now and I love that part of it. :girl_hug: :girl_hug: Beanie - Hey, you just needed the rest! You can plant this weekend! It's supposed to be nice. Kat - I think about your DH all the time, wondering how he is doing. It must be awful to have that long of a time before they do the surgery. Gosh, I think it would drive me crazy! My heart goes out to both of you. I still keep y'all in my prayers too. The first time down on that trolley was awful scarey, but after that it was fun. All I could think of is if this thing lets go seeing where I would land at! Dianne - I missed it I guess, but is something wrong with your DH too? I am happy for you that you made a sale!:clap2: :clap2: Good luck and hopefully you will make a few more! Sherry - You are being a baby, blisters really hurt! Can you keep a bandaide on it? I love all your 4th pictures! Patty - Sorry you got denied, but I am a true believer that everything happens for a reason. Your day will come!:girl_hug: Darcy - I haven't seen you girl, are you ok? How is everything going? Did they find your problem? Mary - It always works that way, they always take them when you have big plans. Just push yours down a week or two. Well, if I don't get off here and get dressed, I am going to be late, and I don't want that! Catch you all later!
  23. Congrats to both of you! :clap2: :clap2:
  24. Good Morning Y'all! It sounds like everyone had a great holiday! I just love the familiy get togethers. We had a wonderful time at the lake, and it was so nice to get together with my family. Of course all we did was eat, eat, eat, and then eat some more! I don't dare get on the scale for a week! I took my camera with me, even charged the battery up, but didn't take the first picture. We were on a cliff, and they had this trolly thing that you sat in to take you down to the boats, it was really neat. Once it was busy so I took the steps (about 100) and I actually made it without dying! We were out on the boat and some big winds picked up and man, we all get drenched all the way back in! Everything in the boat was floating! It was so funny, just when one big wave would drench us, here would come another! You should have seen the people looking at us when we came up. The swelling is much better in the foot, but the hurting is not! Of course I did a lot of walking which I shouldn't have, but I couldn't help it. So hopefully the sitting at work will help today. I haven't had time to check on the Aunts, but right before we left this weekend, they put my DB in his own room, out of intensive care, so that made us all enjoy the weekend a little bit more. Thanks to all of you for the prayers/thoughts! Well, I have to get ready for work, but I'll try to check in later and do some personals.
  25. Well the car is loaded down, and I am ready to go, just waiting on DB to get here and we'll head out together. I live traveling with other cars, just feel safer that way! Cindy - Honey I am thinking about you, the first year really is the hardest~ you will have a few rough days, I'm thinking about you! Actually the medicine he has me on is Toradol, you have to have it in a shot form before taking any of the tablets. I have to watch it closely as it can cause damage to your liver. I have to eat something with each tablet 4x a day! So, now I have a good excuse to eat! UGH! I can't take it longer than 5days. I hate taking medications like that, but I didn't have much choice if I wanted to walk again without hurting. Of course what did I do today? I smashed my two little toes on the same foot! They are fine, just sore! Call me Miss Clutz! Ok, going to get out the door and enjoy the time away. Have a great one my friends, I'll see you when I get back!
