  1. Mandy - Glad to hear it is over and things are looking up for you. You were in my thoughts today, I am glad you were able to post and let us know how you were. Hopefully this will cure you and you'll get healthy again!
  2. congrats to you on the surgery date! Wow, that was fast! No pacing the floors for you! Good Luck!
  3. Welcome to bandland! It gets better with each day! Good Luck!
  4. Congrats to you for sticking with this! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Good Luck!
  5. How great he is that he is supporting you on this decision. I always say "Where there's a will, there's a way" so don't give up. I didn't tell many people either, and I am happy that I didn't. Good Luck to you!
  6. Thanks for the great words of wisdom! Sorry it took your band to let us know! Good Luck to you and I hope your next surgery works better for you.
  7. Welcome to bandland! Glad your surgery went well and that you have lost weight already. Good Luck!
  8. I have the small band, and I don't have any problems with salad at all. I think the main thing we all need to remember is that if something don't work for you the first time, don't eliminate it completely, because sometimes if you can't eat it today, you can three weeks from now. You just need to try things more than once.
  9. Libra - Welcome to LBT! Congrats on your surgery date! It sounds like you will have lots of others jumping on the band wagon with you. Good Luck to all of you!
  10. Congrats to you! I bet you look awsome!
  11. That's why we call it a finicky "b!tch". Sometimes I think I don't have a band at all, and the next hour I can't eat anything.
  12. Congrats on your surgery date! Keep busy, read everything you can on the surgery and stock up on your liquid stuff. Good Luck!
  13. Eat some popcicles, eat some jello, drink some broth, and if you can have it drink some protein drinks. Jello helped me stay with it, also the popcicles.
  14. I use swimming as my daily exercise. I have a pool in the back yard, so it's the easy way for me. I love swimming and I don't have to make myself do it!
  15. I eat salads every day for lunch. I love salads. I put all kinds of different stuff in my salads. As far as eating the rest of the stuff, I pretty much eat anything only in smaller amounts. I go easy with potatoes, bread, rice though because of the extra calories. I do eat them once in a while though.
  16. Good Morning Y'all! Darcy - I was thinking about you yesterday! I bet you are one busy gal with all that moving. It's hard to throw away some things, but really, you won't miss them when you get to the new place. When I moved I had to leave/give away/throw away many things that wouln't fit on the truck and I thought I would cry at some of the things, but after leaving them, I wasn't sad at all. I'll be glad when your move is over and you can come back to visit with us everyday. We miss you! Well, running really late today, so catch the rest of you later! Have a great one!
  17. Congrats on your surgery date. Don't worry about the eating part, I eat steak all the time. I can pretty much eat anything, just smaller amounts of it. As far as coke, I don't do any cokes but I am not much of a soda drinker, but I do drink tea.
  18. Welcome to bandland! Glad things went well for you. I agree with Terry, she said what I would have. Good Luck!
  19. You are just going through all the "normal" feelings. If you weren't nervous and excited too, I would be worried you weren't normal. Just keep busy, do some walks, read all you can about the band so you'll be well informed, and things will be over before you know it. Good Luck!
  20. Where there's a will, there's a way! Good Luck!
  21. Welcome to LBT! Glad to have you here! It sounds like you are doing well with the band!
  22. Start off with a visit with your doctor. I would get checked out, see if all your fill is still there and then start over fresh. Good Luck!
  23. It took me 6 fills before I got much restriction. Just be patient, you'll get there. Sometimes my fills tighten up after 2-3 weeks too!
  24. Welcome to bandland! I hope things went great for you!
