  1. Happy Birthday! It sounds like you are on your way!
  2. Pat - Kelly is one of the people that left.
  3. If you are going by yourself, take as little as possible. If you have someone you might want to take a pillow or folded sheet to help ease the tummy. Take some loose fitting clothes for afterwards. Listerine strips helped me thirst wise and freshen my mough. Good luck and keep us posted.
  4. I couldn't see it either!
  5. I too drink right up to my meal, but not for an hour afterwards. I do have soup once in a while, but when I do, I eat the liquid first, then the rest. It is extremely hard for me to wait that hour, but I find if I remove the glass of liquid from around me, it makes it a whole lot easier. If it is sitting beside me, I will pick it up and drink it before I realize what I am doing.
  6. Hi Dawn, and Welcome! I can't add much to what Michelle already said, and I agree with her. If you don't have the proper fill, it's very difficult to lose. You really need to come up with the money and go get the fill. Start back with the basics, protien first, then veggies, and then the starches/fruits. You might want to join the weight loss thread, or the exercise threads we have going here to help you. Also, post often, the support here really helps me alot!
  7. Hopefully it just needs to heal Vera!
  8. Good for you, learning to eat the proper way is the way to go. Some people get the fill, then can't eat. As long as you are losing the weight, you certainly don't need a fill. Good Luck!
  9. I just never get that I'm not hungry feeling until I have that one bite too much. I have been working on it, but I seem to do it more in the evening than any other time.
  10. Zoe - Thank you so much for sharing your story. It will not only mean a lot to the newbies, but it helped make me stop and take a look at things too. Congradulations on your weight loss, you have done an excellent job.
  11. mmmm spotted dick sounds fantastic! I too still have a problem with taking one bite too many and then I feel miserable. I guess we all are always on that learning curve. Good luck and keep us posted!
  12. What a shame! I sure do wish you luck with your new band! Please keep us posted on how you do.
  13. Wow, can you tell us how it was improperly placed? I can't imagine going through surgery and finding out it was placed wrong.
  14. Now that's what I call getting double exercise!
  15. I usually stay swollen for a few days after a fill, and then it goes away. Can you drink water? Make sure you really chew, chew, chew.
  16. Nancy, I am so happy you have found a new dog, and one that needed a home too.
  17. It sounds like you are doing great even without that treadmill! Here's wishing you a speedy recovery!
  18. Good for you! You are on your way to a better life. It sounds like you will be busy, so the time will fly by for you.
  19. I felt panic! I almost put them all back into my closet! lol After cleaning out my closet which was stuffed, I now only have a few items hanging in it, and they are probably too big too, but they are summer things and I kept them so I would have something to put on. I bagged up three bag fulls and took them to Galvaston to our get together. Boy, I was so nervous getting rid of them. But, after it was all over, I felt good about it. I knew it was the first step in realizing I would never need them again. Now, as soon as something is big on me, I give it to someone that can use it, I don't want it anymore!
  20. Congradulations Willpower! You too have been waiting for a long time! I guess I'll do the happy dance for both of you today! :banana :banana :banana :banana :banana :banana

  23. That date will be here before you know it! Good luck and we'll look forward to hearing how you did!
  24. Sounds like you both are doing great, and it only gets better every day.
