Good Morning Y'all! Well, today is much better! I have made two batches of peanut brittle and a batch of fudge and all is well! Eileen - Sounds like you and Beanie had a good time, I can't wait to see the pictures! Lisa - Good luck tomorrow! Let us know when you can how you are doing. Cidny - Did you get lost at the mall????? I bet you just shopped till you dropped huh? Beanie - Hope you are having fun! Patty - Thanks, you are such a sweetheart. Do you happen to have room in those suitcases for me? A vacation from all this sure sounds heavenly! Pat - You sound like me, I am getting anymore where I hate to shop for the holidays. I think it is because things are so expensive and everyone wants something big and expensive now days. Plus they put Christmas stuff out before Thanksgiving is over and I am sick of looking at it by the time it comes to shopping! Have fun wrapping! What kind of party are you having with the girls? I bet you have strippers and all huh? Well, gonna get back to the baking/candy making. I want to try and finish up this week so I can rest next week! lol

Good Morning Y'all! I spent most of yesterday, cleaning and decorating for Christmas. I am not finished yet, but close to it. I want to finish up my baking hopefully next week, then finish the decorating. Beanie - You sound so excited! I would be too if it were me! Friday started out to be a horrible day. I was getting ready to go for the interview and had some time left, got to reading on LBT then noticed I should have left 15 minutes ago. Out the door I went, but noticed I needed gas bad! I went to the station, and for some reason the machine wouldn't accept my card. I didn't have time to go in and wait in line, so I decided to just go with what I had. I made it over there, found a parking lot and parked. I walked (about 3 blocks) to the building. After reaching the building I found there was a parking lot right next to the place! UGH! Oh well, not like I couldn't use the walking. So, I go in the building and looked for the restroom. I needed to change to my heels, and check my hair and makeup. I saw the restroom sign and headed there, walked in only to find a man in there! Opps, wrong door! I backed out of there really fast! Now, I finally get to the right one and change my shoes. Then I get on the elevators to go up and there was another lady on it too. I was only going up one floor, so when it stopped I got off only to find a weird floor with lots of staff only signs. After walking around a little bit I finally found a man and ask him. He said I was in the basement! How the heck I got there is beyond me! Anyway, I got back on the elevator and got to the proper floor. Now, I just wanted to say WTF and walk out, no chance in hell that I am going to ace an iterview with all this luck! I checked in and actually made it the 15 minutes before like recommended. When the gentleman came out and called my name, I stood up and he took me to a room with 4 other people in it. The were all there to interview me! Talk about nervous! But, I really think I did well with the interview. I won't know anything for a while as they are still doing some interviews next week. The bad luck hit me again right after the interview though! lol The company I work for is going out of business, so I have to find a new job. Now, Beanie, aren't you glad you asked???? Jan - Good luck with your surgery, I am sure things will go fine for you. Respitorygirl - Glad to see you back! Cindy - Did you survive the shopping? You certainly are brave, I don't go anywhere near those malls at Christmas time! Eileen - We'll be waiting for those pictures of you and Beanie! Well, going to run, catch you all later!

Good Morning! It's cold here today! At least all the nasty stuff is gone though. I heard on the news this morning that Ft. Worth had over 2200 accidents and Dallas had around 1200. And, that is the ones that actually reported them! Glad I stayed home and baked all day. I am going for a job interview this morning, so keep your fingers crossed for me! Jobs have been pretty hard to come by here since we got all the Katrina people up here too. I am happy to even get a chance at this one! I just wish it were a little warmer outside! Patty - I love the hours you work! I know it is hard with kids though. Eileen - The door is always open! Come on down! It's gonna start warming up! Zan - Have a safe trip and enjoy the weather! Good Afternoon! I have been baking Cookies all day long, I am getting ready to clean up and put things away. I have to admit that today things went well! Cindy - I agree, I don't want my band too tight. It sounds like you are doing great with this fill! Have fun on a unexpected day off! I wasn't cracking up about the Protein bar riding with you just in case, I was cracking up because of you thinking to take protein! Now be serious, before you were banded what would you have grabbed? Patty - Sorry to hear your day went so bad, hang in there it gets better. You are probably getting a good case of the nerves! Sorry about the job! Eileen - Yes, I am feeling much better, thanks for asking. Right now though a good hot bath would feel real good! Not that I need it ( I have so much sugar on me) but my feet hurt from standing all day! Hmmmm, come to think of it that is a good NSV, last year I would not have stood all day, the chair would have been holding my butt up! When did you say you start your vacation? Jan - Hope you don't catch that cold! Boost up your Vitamin C's! Beanie - Did you get the stuff all in the mail? Is it time for me to cross everything? Zan - Where are you today? Hope you are tied up in cold weather. Last night it took my DH 2 hours to get home from Dallas. Usually it is a 30 minute trip at the longest, needless to say he wanted a beer the minute he walked in the door! Well, going to go take a break before it is time to cook supper. Later!

They just said on the news that it is going to be 15 degrees tonight! Burrrrrrr! They closed most of the schools here for the day. I guess the kids will have a fun day!

It's been pretty bad up here, 100's of accidents today. It's cold too! Be careful if you venture out. The news just said tomorrow morning will be bad too. Hopefully it won't be as bad as today. I guess parts of I-20 had to shut down. Last year my SIL was stranded up on I-20 for 24 hours, alone in her car. August would be a good time, heck we can have a pool party or something here at the house. Definately 5 or more! Have fun!

It has to be a hard decision for you, especially with all the problems that have been going on here. Just listen to your heart, I'm sure you will make the right decision.

I Quit! I Quit! I Quit! What a day! I got home and decided to start baking and making candy. Well, that was my firt mistake! I have been making peanut brittle for so many years I can't count them, never burned or messed up a batch until today. I messed up both batches I tried. I don't know if it was the new pan or my thermometer. Then I decided to make a batch of Cookies, doubled the recipe and burnt the first batch. UGH! So, I guess I had a "Pat" day in the kitchen today! (Not making fun of you Pat, just couldn't help thinking about that picture you posted and how I felt the same way) So, I cleaned up my mess and I'm not doing anymore today! It's a good thing I already have supper cooked huh? Cindy, I am staying warm only because I am not out in it. It is icy here too and it keeps coming down. I bet we do get the snow tonight! The kids in the neighborhood will love it if it snows. The last time it snowed they used trash can lids and went sliding down the steet here. It was funny! Glad you made it safely to get you DD and back again. It seems like everyone in the household can get sick except Mother's. Mother's never seem to be able to get the rest they need. You cracked me up with the Protein bar though! Later!

The end of November marked 60 days for me without any chips! I hope this mean I broke the habbit of eating them!

Nana your dip sounds yummy! Paula - Yes, the electric bills are awful! I don't even want to see mine this month. Cindy - I am originally from up North, so I am use to driving on the ice and snow. But, I won't get on them because I know the people down here doesn't know how to drive on them, heck they have trouble when it rains! lol All kidding aside, it is really scary to be on the roads here when it gets bad. I am glad I am home!

So sorry to hear that. Please feel free to post with us for support if you want. I truly believe that all things happen for a reason, I know that dosen't comfort you now, but perhaps it will in the future.
