  1. Ok - I have a project on then!! I can't edit my original post so i will start a new one... apologies for any I have missed,...there were a few waiting for comfirmation, so have only put those who were defo with their dates. Kathy
  2. I started my pre op diet today, which is working out just fab (not) as I have my last pre op xray this afternoon, so can't eat or drink anything for 6 hrs prior to that!! Good luck to you all!! Kathy
  3. Does anyone use a diet tracker app with an Itouch or I phone? I have seen a few but not sure which one is best for us? Any ideas gratefully recieved. Kathy
  4. Well done Lillie.... you must be so happy with that! How do you feel in general health wise - is it getting a lot easier now? Kathy
  5. Sorry to hear that I bet you are gutted! Try and use the extra time to loose as much as you can pre op....not like me and gain a couple of pounds! Good luck Kathy
  6. OMG - I know.......trying not to think about it but pretty impossible really. Am busying myself filling up a new MP3 player to take with me to the hosp to fill some time while I am walking the corridors!!! :biggrin0: xx
  7. Hi Riley We're buddies! lol - I'm on the same day but here in Spain, and am also a self pay. We're around the same BMi as well I think - although I need to weigh in Thursday before I start my pre op, but I am 164cm tall so a little shorter than you. Good luck with your pre op - how long do you have to do? Kathy
  8. I have to start mine on Thursday, but today I've done 2 shakes and will have a meal tonight, and only had some chicken apart from that. Tomorrow we are out for lunch, so I will Protein shake the other 2 meals... then start my 7 day pre op the morning after. Scary stuff.... but we have to do it! Kathy
  9. Laura If its any help at all I didn't have any real pain from my uplift.... i do hear that the implants can feel like having a brick on your chest - but then thats normally from people who are quite small before going to having larger implants put in... so maybe some of that is due to the actual weight of the implant than pain.... I don't know about you but mine weigh an awful lot - if hubby stands behind my and holds them I'd probably be about 14lbs lighter!!!! :tongue_smilie: Kathy
  10. Having spent the last weekend back with family, I decided not to tell them - I 'placed' my forthcoming weightloss with tales of the dietician I am seeing (true) and the smaller portions (true), more exercise (true) and the added incentive that my husband will stop smoking when I get to 147lbs!! (also wonderfully true). So... I haven't lied, just not told them everything. Thanks for the input... for me I think this will work the best, for the moment anyway. And Jane - I think I will be telling a lot more people after the event who I feel are entitled to know about the op if it may enhance and change their lives.... lets make the world a healthier place! Kathy
  11. I think its a fab idea... it'll be stressful enough getting wed, we did it 3 yrs ago... and now at least you can enjoy that and then enjoy the honeymoon with your new slim bod!! Good luck Kathy
  12. Its weird how different surgeons require different pre op diets, but some of it also depends on your starting weight. Theres people on here on 3 week pre op plans, but most seem to be the 2 week or 1 week ones, although theres a smaller percentage on just a couple of days pre op. In the end I drove myself mad thinking about what mine would be, panicking it would be a longer one, but luckily I get a week one which i start on Thursday. Good luck with it
  13. How about getting out the house totally, go for a walk, or clear cupboards out?? I'm about to defrost my freezer today to clear out some things I know I just won't eat!!
  14. Hi Chica and welcome Congrats from me too on your date - it'll soon come round - I can't believe I have less that 2 weeks to go now... Good luck with it - let us know how you get on Kathy
  15. Donna - congrats!! Good luck with it all Kathy
  16. :thumbup1: LOL!! Good to hear you're doing ok...keep up the good work Kathy
  17. Hi there You're in good company....and will be able to get the support you need on here - like a lot of us who aren't able to go to a support group. You're 5 days ahead of me... so you have a head start on me - so good luck... let us know how you get on. Kathy
  18. Hiya Good luck with the rest of it - I start mine on Thursday, and luckily only have a week, but its all liquids. The only plan I have for mine is to get out of the house with the dog when the food urges take me, and read thru my list of all the reasons why I want the surgery done, and how being in tip top health going into it will help me....I can't fail this one having failed every other dieting attempt over the last 22 yrs!!
  19. Christie - Congratulations!!! What a great result, and to get past the 300 marker as well, I bet you have a permanent grin on your face!! Its good to hear you're enjoying it and making good progress. Keep up the good work Kathy
  20. Like Christie my surgeon had his own stats...so its worth looking at yours, but keep in mind everyone is different. I had a major surgery 5 months before our wedding 3 years ago, and I was one of the few with complications, - my fears about the day and honeymoon travel etc didn't make my recovery any smoother. Luckily I just got it sorted out in time to revoer for the big day and be cleared to travel long haul. I know its probably not what you want to hear, but I would recommend seriously thinking about the date, and postponing it until after the wedding.A wedding day is SO special. Should the unthinkable happen and say you were in hospital for a long time because of complications (someone on here has been in for 30 days with post op problems) do you have wedding insurance that would cover it? If you do decide to go ahead with it then I would urge you to keep to everything they suggest - pre and post op diets to the letter. Try and get yourself in the best possible health before the op, not just for the op itself but for your recovery as well. Whatever you do I wish you luck Kathy
  21. I also asked about the pre and post op diets....and what happens if there is a leak cost wise ( I'm a self payer).
  22. Jerrys got them all but I wanted to add that my hubby asked for my spare tummy to make a wallet out of - my Dr laughed at him!! ( I hasten to add he wasn't really serious....well not really!)
  23. Maddie - sounds like a nightmare.. but stick with it - and soon you won't need it at all post op! Good luck Kathy
  24. Anna - congrats, what a result in 2 months - Way to go!! Keep up the good work Kathy
