Paula, You look great, and can definately see a big difference. Don't do that to yourself (it's my job to do it to myself, LOL). I sometimes can't see a difference in my body, but other people ALWAYS notice. Keep up the good work. You look great!

Well, I'm finally stuck........
-Zoe- Ouch! But I definately needed that -Jack, Michelle & Becky- Thanks for the kind and motivating words. It's just so hard sometimes because I've failed so many times at losing, it's hard to get my fat head to believe this is the last time, I will succeed! Without this board, I most likely would have went home last night, put myself in the pity pot, and ate a boatload of bad stuff. But, LBT really is just as useful as the band itself, and all your voices in my head steered me to stay on track and get my butt to the gym. So today, I woke up feeling refreshed and a bit more positive. THANK YOU.

Plasticize me please!!
I second that ! Babs, you've worked so hard, you deserve it. Besides, maybe once you've had the surgery, you'll revise your goal weight. Let us know how it goes. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm finally stuck........
Donali, your words hit me like a brick. How much more true could they be? No wonder I always fail. Yeah, I understand I am way ahead of average, and maybe some bandsters would be envious, but I suppose it's my attitude that sucks. I knew that I would be able to count on you guys to help me thru before I began my self sabotage. In the last 15 years, I was this size once for maybe a month, and weighed 158 for like a day about 10 years ago, and then proceeded to my largest size of 304 in July 04. Donali, a plateau for life, OMG, I don't even know how to stay at a weight for a day. I definately have some homework ahead of me. People around me either don't have a weight problem, are in denial of their weight problem or just offer their two cents when they haven't walked near my shoes. Being able to get constructive advice and point blank honesty at LBT from people who have been there is what I so very much need. Thanks for taking the time to help me. I really need you guys.

Well, I'm finally stuck........
Thanks Babs. I think just knowing that others have been stuck, then continue on their merry way to their goal will help. But, you could be right, for some reason, maybe I am in denial about a fill. I'm at 2.5 in a 4.0 band. I mean, my insurance pays for the fill, really no reason not to do it, guess I will make an appointment now. Goll, I feel better already! :cheeky

Well, I'm finally stuck........
I guess I just need a little pep talk. Honestly, I've been so lucky with the lap band. No complications and weight loss has been great (87 lbs 6 1/2 months). But for the last 5 weeks, I am so stuck between 216 and 220. I'm positive that I am following the rules, joined a gym and feel great. I guess that I'm scared of failure now. That somehow my body has maxed out at 87 and won't let me go any further. I still need to lose at least 50 pounds, and like so many previous diet attempts, I can lose a certain amount, feel comfortable (not happy) with my size and then, WHAM..here comes all the weight back. I mean, how long can a plateau last? I feel like, well if I'm following the rules and not losing, I may as well just eat what I feel like! I know, it's attitude adjustment time. Can SOMEBODY please help????

One port, two ports, three ports, four....
Goll Lisa, I feel so bad for you with all the problems you've had. But, finally you've gotten the answers need to heal and go on with your lap band journey. I've probably never told you this, but your posts here have been such an inspiration to me, and on days when I'm down and out, you bring a smile to my face ( your sick humor reminds me so much of myself it's scary!) So, hang in there, and "happy healing.

Happy 4 month bandiversary to me!
Wow! Beyond my wildest dreams, I am down 73 pounds. I lurk alot on the board, try to contribute now and then. But I have to let EVERYONE on this board know that you all have been a big part of my success. I read everything on here, and I feel I have learned so much through all of your experiences. And for that I owe a big THANK YOU! Living with this band has been so interesting. Like the rest of you, sometimes I can eat a ton, and other times can hardly take a couple bites and be stuffed. I drink at least 150 oz of Water a day, and lots of times much more. I was fortunate that I was a heavy water drinker before, so this piece of the weight loss plan has been easy for me. My doctor said, this has played a major role in my success so far, so drink up everyone. I love sports, and can now actually go to the games without the humiliation of getting stuck in the seats. My size has gone from a 3X or4X to a straight up 16, sometimes 18. But a few months ago I would have killed to be in this size, now its just a stepping stone. I can't wait to meet some of you in onederland, which is my next major goal. Again, thanks for everything you guys have done for me. I'll try to get some pictures out here this week. Look forward to meeting everyone at the next bash. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!

Relief
I wonder why we all worry so much something is wrong with our band? Ya think because we've failed so much in the past with this weight battle that we're just looking for something to fail? Last Friday, I got a fill under fluoro, and I asked my doctor does everything look okay, no slips, no leaks or flipped ports or anything? He kind of gave me this half crazy smile. I mean, I literally have had no problems, and a good weight loss. It just that my head tells me something just has to be wrong. Strange, huh? Anyway, glad to hear the news Vera. We all know a good fill is really make a difference.
