What is wrong with me?
This may sound weird but with me I think I am still wondering if this works in the back of my mind. How many things have we tired that didn't work? How much money have we spent on gimicks? I struggle every day to not weigh and make good choices. But we don't have patience to let it work. We worry worry worry.

Just a bit of a vent..
Lock that scale in the truck of your car! It will take some time to get it out and by that time you will have desided not to weigh. Ha ha ..

Hurricane and fill!
I don't know anything about hurricanes but I traveled to a really high altitude last weekend and I am alot tighter. I was thinking I may need to go in for another fill last week. But I have lost one pound in the last 3 days. That is a big thing for me because I haven't had a loss in 8 weeks.

Lite Weights
We need the support of others who are not losing large amounts of weight.I am four months out and feel like I am not doing well because I have not lost alot of weight compared to others.

Will it Work?
The thing that I have noticed is that I am not losing as fast as I wanted to but over time I am not gaining weight either. If I don't gain and lose a few pounds here and there in a few months everything will even out. I was gaining about 4 pounds a month over the last few years. I would lose and then gain it back. The band seems to have balanced that out.

For struggling new bandsters
I am one of the people who have no patience, but I also keep thinking that there must be something that I am not doing.I go back over everything I was told and all the material I was given at my Doctor's office. I am trying to weigh once a month and not worrry. I guess I have tryed 100 things that didn't work and this was the most expensive thing I have ever done for myself and I am wondering if I can lose this weight. Keep giving us the advise that we all need.

Lite Weights
I would like to see a section for people who have less than 75 pounds to lose. We could be called "lite weights" or something simular. We have less to lose and lose slower than others so we could compare to others with the samer amounts to lose. We may lose so slow that we cause others to wonder if it is worth it. What do you think?

fill and being stuck
At each meal the first few bites are like this for me too. I just need to get up and do something for a few minutes. It almost seems like the muscles in the throat are slowed down and it takes a few minutes to move the food into the stomach. I don't think I have too tight a fill, I just need to take longer between bites.

Yummy meal replacement

raging anger and completly discouraged, who me?
Vines, I didn't have the big weight loss in the begining and have lost 1 pound a week or less so I know how hard it is. I am not getting on the scales only once a week and then I only compare that to what I started with on the first day of the month. That seems to help a little but even then my body seems to pick up a lot of liquid if I eat anything salty. We should get outside in the sunshine and walk a little more too.

Energy Drinks

Energy Drinks
Have any of you tryed the Energy Drinks? There are quite a few with low carbs. Some have a little carbonation but they are really a nice change, they kind of remind me of a wine cooler. If you serve them in a small wine glass they are very festive. They have a lot of B vitamins in them, I usually share a can with my husband. Some have a lot of Vitamin C in them too.

Protein Drinks...yuck
I use Slim Fast,( the low carb kind) add 3 ice cubes and put it in the blender. I then put it in the prettiest glass I can find, I buy colored straws and put that in the glass too. It looks great and tastes great. I have bought different kinds of protien drinks and they all taste very bad.

Very Dissappointed - What am I doing wrong?
I have about 68 pounds to lose and I am finding that I lose about 1 pound a week. I wish it were more but nothing has helped me to get the weight loss going faster. I had a fill and was too tight and then had a slight unfill so I know I don't need a fill. It is different for all of us,at least I am not gaining like before the band. I have finally lost 17 pounds and for the first time people are asking me what I am doing.I have not told many that I have had this surgery. It is a long process just don't compare yourself to anyone else.

Trying to get a fill....
Dr. McKeen I think has been on vacation.

Is the band all that you expected? Better or worse?
I took my starting weight and subtracted the number of weeks since surgery and used 1 pound a week and that is right where I am at. So I guess even though I think I am not progressing, at 16 weeks I have lost 16 pounds. I just need to have patience and not be so hard on myself.

Need some energy
I take vitamins every day and no problems with BM's.

Need some energy
I am currently on an anti depressant (Effexor) and I am sleeping better than I have in years. I know I need to exercise but just don't have the energy to start. I had my blood work done and my iron is ok. I think I am doing ok with the protein.

Elevation and restriction
It sound great, I was in the Uintah Mountians on a camping trip east of Salt Lake City. Weekends are great aren't they. I plan on returning to the Mountians for the next two weekends for camping trips and then going into Salt Lake City for shopping on the third weekend. I would like to retire too but I don't have enough money to live the life style I like without the pay check.
