  1. Rude!!! Heaven help us, you are anything BUT rude! Please let us know how your revision goes. I will keep you in my prayers. ladiebird, will you not have to have a revision? Pat, what the heck??? How is that you nearly passed out? Details, please!!!
  2. Yummmm! Gonna have to try those Zone bars!
  3. You go, girl!!! What an awesome job!!!
  4. Michelle, You know, it never occurred to me that snacking might be a good thing, LOL!!! But it makes sense that it would keep your metabolism revved up and make you less hungry at meal times. I had read (I believe in the Inamed instructions) that you should only eat 3 meals a day with no in between eating, so I thought I was being very bad. I also just met someone else, who happens to be a medical professional, who says snacking keeps the metabolism going. Hmmm...Ok, so I will consider myself a good girl, LOL!! I thought I would be required to do liquids after a fill, too. But with every fill I asked and was told to eat normally. As for flouro and barium, yes it was used, but I don't think they have it figured out yet, LOL!!! They used the barium BEFORE the fill, no barium during or after the fill. So yes, I could see the barium going through my band, but no, I didn't see any restriction. Remember, this is a REDNECK band, so everything will be done backwards, LOL!!! Good luck with your fill on Monday!

Taking pics now is a good idea. You'll be able to look back and see what a difference your band has made, and you will feel soooooo good!
  6. Makes sense to me! I am like your sister. I have always eaten huge meals, but usually only 3 per day, sometimes 2. I used to have only occassional snacks, but now I seem to need them morning and afternoon. I was afraid my pouch would be very stretched out, but it wasn't. I have read that grazers have to be a little more careful with their eating habits with the band. Apparently, eating a little nibble here and a little nibble there doesn't let your band do its thing. When you eat a full meal, it has an opportunity to let you feel restriction and stop eating.
  7. Happy anniversary!!!! 27 inches gone!!! Hey, you're doing great!
  8. My fills were supposed to be free....
  9. Me, too!!! I hope we both find that sweet spot! 3pm rolled around and sure enough, my tummy started rumbling. I had 2 beef jerky's, but that wasn't very filling....
  10. LOL!!!! Cute pics!! Good luck with your Ketosis. Feb. 14 will be here in no time!!!
  11. after I almost passed out getting my fill today Pat you have some 'splainin to do!!! Or did I miss that post somewhere,LOL!
  12. I got the fill yesterday, 1cc. I had restriction last night at supper. I made one of those SkilletSensation meals with roast beef, veggies and sauce and I could only eat about 1 1/4 cup then I got that stuffed feeling in my chest and slime in my mouth, but nothing came back up. LOL, I need to figure out how to stop before I get to that point!! I'm hoping this is real restriction and not just swelling from the fill. I am very concerned that I am already filled to 3cc's in a 4cc band and am only at the beginning of my journey. :nervous This morning I had my usual amount of coffee at around 5:30, and at about 6:45 I had a cheese omlett. No problems. By 9:30 I was hungry again so I had a Carbwell protein snack bar. Lunch went down just fine (left overs from last night), although I feel really full. However, I know that I will probably feel hunger again around 3pm. Does anyone else have mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks? I can't seem to get through the day without them!
  13. Well, heck! Where have I been?? I keep missing threads, LOL! Patty and Suzette, it's great that ya'll are here! Welcome! I am so glad to see happy bandsters on here who have had their bands for a while.
  14. Trish, my insurance pays 90%, but the hospital charges so much to my insurance that my portion was $78 each for the first 2 fills and $110 for the third (I don't get it either)!

  23. My dh works at the worlds 3rd largest airport and goes through security everyday. He has gotten to know some of the TSA people and they have told him that sometimes the equipment seems to tweak itself up in sensitivity and they have noticed that it usually happens when the barometric pressure is up. I don't know if that is true or not, but that is their story and they're sticking to it, LOL! If it is true, you may be able to pass through one day and get snagged the next. Go figure!!!!
  24. YOu look wonderful!!! What an inspiration!!!
  25. WOOOOOOOHOO!!!! WillPower, I have UHC POS and the paid 90%. Good luck to you!
