Yep! He's a cutie! But what's amazing is that Lisa is sitting there with that sweet smile and a huge hole in her gut!!! Girl, you just amaze me!
  2. Kathy, I had the same problem until one day I saw myself in a storefront window as I was shopping. Took the wind right outta my sails! That was the day I started looking into WLS.
  3. bandit, I haven't had a real pb yet, but I have had what I call a hard swallow in which it feels like the food is stuck somewhere in my chest and I get lots of saliva in my mouth. It's very painful and I tend to get that 'deer in the headlights' look when it happens. Sometimes I have to go spit the saliva out, before it will get better. This has happened to me in restruants, too. Usually, I'm just with my dh so it doesn't matter if he sees me, he knows what is going on. But when I go out with others who don't know about my band, I am very careful about what I order. Usually soup and salad because I know it goes down easy for me. My advice is learn what foods are easy for you to eat and order those when you are around people you don't want to know about your band. Be sure you chew, chew, chew before swallowing and take tiny bites. Hope this helps.
  4. WooHoo!!!! March 16 will be here before you know it! Good luck!!!!
  5. Jonathan, if you are still not keeping any liquids down, I think you should contact your dr.
  6. Thanks, Penni!!!! Lots of good info there!
  7. Where is Penni's homework thread? I've looked and looked and I can't find it.

WTG, Ryan!!! Congrats on the loss and lots of luck with the fill!
  9. I'm sorry for the delay! But remember that's just what it is, a delay. You will get your band, but obviously there are some important issues that need to be attended to first. Stay focused on your goal and it will happen before you know it. Good luck!

Marie!!!! Sounds like you've become our newest HOT MAMA!!!
  11. That liquid Lortab had me sliming over the sink, too. I took one dose after I got home and never touched that stuff again. NASTY!!!
  12. My prayers and thoughts are with you, Brenda!
  13. Thanks for shedding some light on that, Donali! Looks like I have yet to experience a real PB, then. I don't ever want to, LOL!
  14. I've had a couple of margarita's and a couple glasses of wine since I was banded in November. If you enjoy a cocktail, there is nothing wrong with having one. Just remember the calories and practice moderation. A drink every now and then won't stop your weightloss.
  15. Oh! Oh! Oh! Why do I keep looking???? Ok, I really have the heebie jeebies, now. Does anyone else feel an ache in their port?
  16. Congratulations, Jonathan! It gets better every day!
  17. Well, thank God you have finally found proper medical attention!! Nobody should ever have to go through what you've been through. Hope your healing is fast and painless!!! Miss Penni, you are truly an angel!
  18. Well, I didn't wanna look, but I couldn't help myself! I think it looks like healthy tissue, bet it heals this time, girl!!! I get the same awful rash from tape, bandages and even band aids. OMG, Pat, ROFL!!!
  19. Wow! I was actually shocked speechless that Penni had posted such a thread, LOL!! I couldn't have responded even if I had wanted to!!! Anyway, though, I'm glad it made you laugh when you were feeling so bad. Hope you're ok. Is Chris taking good care of you? He better be or we will send Penni over to kick his ass, LOL!!!
  20. Misti, did you know that there is a pizza flavored Campbells Soup at Hand? I have not tried it yet, but since your craving pizza.... I think of food that I cannot tolerate as being those that consistantly give me any kind of problems going down, whether is it pain or sliming or gas. I haven't actually thrown up yet but some people do.
  21. Shaz, I also have a sensitive sensation in the band area. Not quite sore, but sensitive. I am now wondering if it is not the band I feel, but tube leading to the port? I can't feel my port at all!!!
  22. Thank's ya'll! I will try your suggestions. Did I ever tell you what a picky eater I am. About the ONLY kind of meat I will eat is lean beef or white meat chicken. I can't eat fish or seafood in any form or fashion (meaning that I am gagging at the mere thought!) Kinda limits me in how to get my protein, though.
  23. Wow! I hope your lawyer gave you some good advice. I would like to see those nitwits at the hospital pay for what they did!! So sorry yall went through that. How's Patty?
  24. LOL!!!! You guys are so funny!!! Mmmmm....that ice cream was soooo good! Thanks, Ryan!
