  2. You look wonderful. Way to rock your sleeve!
  3. If you end up trying something, I would try a half a glass of Chardonnay.
  4. Thanks for the responses. I was on Norco for the first few days, but switched over to Tylenol a couple days ago for discomfort. The heavy meds were making me too sleepy and gave me a headache, although they were great for pain. Hopefully it will get better.
  5. Ready, I thought I'd give you an update! I'm sleeved!!!! Yay!! 5 days post op today and doing pretty well. Looking forward to full liquids next week. Heard anything from your insurance yet? Don't give up...
  6. I was sleeved 5 days ago and have been doing well, but I'm not sleeping very well. Anybody have this experience after surgery. When I do sleep, I often think of food. Probably because I e been on liquids for a week. Ugh!
  7. Hoosiergirl, I loved your post!
  8. Yaya, this is an interesting thread. Thanks for starting it. I would love to hear people's thoughts on this because my surgeon is one of the ones that does not want his patients on protein supplements, but getting protein from real food.

  17. Hi all, I was sleeved Saturday evening about 5:30. The following day I had a substantial amount of pain & nausea that I treated using a morphine drip and pills for the nausea. I'm feeling much better. Making sure to walk and get my fluids in. My surgeon does not push proteins this early out, so I am just trying to keep track of my clears. I go see him on Friday for a follow-up. I'm not really feeling hungry, but kind of empty and food still smells amazing. I keep telling myself I can do this!!! Good luck to all on this journey.
  18. Here's an update for me. Had surgery late Saturday evening. The first day I was in a good amount of pain and nauseous. Now I only take pain meds if I need them, which I still do because of gas pains. Those have been the worst so far. I'm trying to get my fluids in. Drink whenever I am not sleeping and walk around my block a few times a day. I'm not ready for work, but have until the 19th and hope I'll be great by then. Everyday gets a little better!! I'm not weighing myself until my dr appts.
  19. Hope everything went well!
  20. Mrs. Fuller, I can totally relate. I've been feeling like that a lot lately.
