  1. I don't understand 2 bandages. My doctor has me lay down and raise my legs and the port like pops and then he goes in once.

If I gave up up carbs, I would lose more weight but when I do without I eat more of those items. But everyone has to listen to their own doctor and dietitian.

Any loss is better than a gain. Congratulations!!!

the two bandages covered the two bruises and where she stuck me twice. I just didnt show the pic with the bruises because It had a bit of my boob poking through. its looking better.

  2. @ angemc, I was eating 1200 cals but feeling slightly hungry quicker. 2-3 hours after depending on what i ate. I felt like i needed a fill because I was able to eat a full chicken breast and half a cup of veggies and still felt like I could eat more. but I am still learning the difference of being full and being satisfied because I associate being full with being satisfied. When I feel like its in my throat I just take two sips of water. wait five minutes and then try again.

@ sol, HIIII SOOOLLLL. lol The needle was like four to five inches long. she was literally jabbing the heck out of me. I was laying down at first and then When I asked her to stop she had me stand up. I still have a little soreness to that area but it is tolerable. she is the only person who administers the shots.

  3. I was told that you will always have to sip your liquids. its very hard esp if you are not used to it. I try to sip it but sometimes I get more than a sip. I cant drink it like i normally do because i get a pain on my port side so I have to be careful and sip like i am drinking hot tea.

  4. Thank you!! I am very happy about the weight loss. I am very anal about making food charts for the week and making sure each meal has 60-80g of protein. I fell off when I did the liquid diet but now I am getting back on track. It was horrible not eating and then having those issues with my secondary meal choices. I just have to make sure I grab my lunch. :)

  5. the nutritionist told me that the pureed phase has been know to make patients gain a couple pounds. which is why they only like us to do a week if that stage. I have decided Not to constantly weigh myself. I will limit it to doctors visits or once a month.

  6. It is a wonderful feeling. especially when people notice. It makes you feel like you are heading in the right direction. I just saw advertising for the Taste of Chicago. I havent been there in years so i wont really miss much this year.

  7. Thank you shelly!! I am still happy with my choice and i know it will take time. I am still in the beginning stages so I still have a lot to learn. I treated myself to another sf freeze pop. lol I see my doctor again on friday. I'll be starting my mushy foods and hopefully getting my staples taken out.

  8. Hello, yes you can feel your port. it is slightly uncomfortable but it is bearable. I try not to touch it because of bacteria. but I wouldn't suggest it because it will still be tender. it is not bulgy or noticeable. The worst part of the surgery will be the gas. I would suggest you ask your doctor for something to help relieve the gas. use a heating pad when you go home. it really does help with the gas. and try to walk as much as you can handle. BEst of luck to you!!
