It just now hit me...
So today is day 5 on my Pre-Op liquid diet. The first 4 days flew by and I was on cloud nine, I have not cheated or anything. I've been keeping a pretty busy schedule and tracking what I eat etc. This afternoon it all hit me, I started having pains in my stomach and honestly just feeling like I could just fall onto my bed and pass out. I've been drinking lots of water and sticking to my diet %100. So really just seeking some advice, what did you all do when you hit a point during the Pre-Op diet that you felt stuck? I know it's called HELL for a reason but I just want to know if the pains and feeling faint are normal? I hope this passes and I start to feel like I did the first 4 days! 10 more days till surgery! I'm not willing to give in, that's not the problem, I will not cheat... but man oh man... The dizziness is intense. Thanks for any and all the advice.

July 25th New Date- anxious and nervous
My surgery is July 22nd and as the date approaches I do feel more nervous than ever. There are some people in my family that don't approve of what I am doing, but after a lot of time to dwell on it I've decided that I had to put my foot down and rely on only the ones who want to be supportive. I feel like as time passes it will get easier, I hope the same for you! Always remember that most people on the site have or will be going through the same thing, so support from everyone else helps as well! I'm super excited for you and wish you all the success.

Traveling
I love traveling! It is a passion of mine. I did ask the doctor how long I should wait before any large trip and he said about 2 weeks or until I start feeling better. I'm traveling all the time so he did have me get DVT bands, which help stimulate blood flow while sitting for long periods and for plane rides. My insurance covered them %100, so that was nice. Like everyone else I'd ask just to make sure, but to where ever you are headed I hope you have a safe and more importantly FUN trip! Best wishes.

chewable vitamins and calcium
I started off taking the Valley's Finest chewables. They were okay but since then I've taken a liking to the One A Day brand. They taste good! Like Missy said it was kind of a trial and error type situation. Hope you find what you are looking for soon! Congrats on the surgery Monday!

Gave in to my old habits
I'm also on my pre-op diet, day 4! So I understand where you are coming from. It is hard and I've heard that it does get easier. I do believe because you have such a long pre-op diet not to stress. We all make mistakes, like you said start fresh and put your best foot forward. This is going to be hell, but think about all the good that is going to come of it. Keep strong! Take day by day and just try to be positive! Best wishes to you!!!

1500 Cal Diet...Really??
Throughout my 6 month insurance ordeal I stressed the entire time, worrying about how much I lost in-between visits etc. Well my nutritionist put it very clearly for me in my case. It wasn't entirely about the numbers, it was about my habits and actions more than anything. They put me on a lower calorie intake "diet" so I could start practicing smaller portions, chewing my food more thoroughly, and stop drinking so much during my meals. So look at it this way, the more you try to prepare your self the better you will be after surgery. I did have my ups and downs during my 6 months but I just tried my hardest and was approved. Good that you are making small changes now, that is great! I also used smaller dishes a few times to help with portion control. Best Wishes to you, try not to stress and just try your hardest! You can do this!!

When does hair loss start?
I've started taking Biotin a few months back, along with some extra vitamins. Hoping it will help, along with my diet etc! Best Wishes that you just don't have any hair loss at all!

Sent for Medical Review to Cingna (approval)
I was approved in 9 days, and I don't think they would have called me for a while, because like stated above you will receive a letter and so will your Doctor saying you were approved. I was approved May 30th and they didn't get there letter for a few weeks, so I jumped ahead and started calling around and once I knew I was approved I called the Doc to set appointments etc. Best Wishes to you!!!

Write a letter now to the future you...
That is a great idea! I've been making short videos of myself, addressing them to me. Talking about the daily struggle, the ups and downs and I'm hoping to watch them later down the road and not only see what I look like but see ho I felt! I'm going to write that letter now! What a wonderful thing! Thanks!
