  1. That is awesome to hear! Congratulations! I'm just a few days Post-Op and can't wait to 3 weeks out!
  2. Haha I busted out laughing, if its a tape worm.. at least I know I'll be losing weight either way! haha I think it may be hunger pains but.. I'm not hungry.
  3. Walking to the freezer now! haha the itchy stomach is crazy! Driving me insane! What about the noisy stomach? Is that normal? It is soooo loud and I can feel (what I think is my stomach) moving around lol!
  4. PHEW! This makes me feel much better! The itching has officially turned to hives! The are all over the place! I can't wait to talk to the DOC in the AM. Thanks so much Haz!
  5. Girl, I can so relate! It was hard to get up off the recliner, and don't get me started on trying to pee! Man, it was very painful! I'm on day 3 post and the gas is finally subsiding.. I was in tears the second day because the gas made every which way I tried to sit or lay super uncomfortable. I'm feeling better though and it will soon be better for you! Best wishes!
  6. Banded Monday! Excited for all of us! I'm still in a little pain and feel uncomfortable but nothing like the day after surgery! Hope all is well, and woo hoo!!!!!
  7. I had surgery Monday morning and so far everything has been great. Earlier today I started to notice my stomach was a bit itchy but didn't pay much attention. Well its been about 4 hours my entire stomach is red and itchy, not near the incisions but on the other side. I've showered since surgery and was careful. I'm wondering if it is something they put on me during surgery that is agitating my skin? Or an allergic reaction to the meds they have me on? I've called my doctor but it is nearly 9pm and I'll have to wait till morning. Also... my stomach will NOT STOP rumbling! It keeps moaning and moving and making weird sounds, is that normal? I'm not hungry but staying hydrated. Any advice until I can get ahold of the doc will help! Thanks
  8. Hey! Had surgery on Monday! day 3 and the swelling has gone down some, but the gas pain is what is the worst! Glad you posted a pic! All my incisions are really close together on my left side of my stomach. One is huge! It only gets better as the days pass! Can't wait to hear how you are doing in a few days!
  9. I'm actually in Watauga but am all over the place. I'm about 10 minute from Euless.
  10. Was banded 2 days ago!
  11. Hey I'm in North Richland Hills area!
  12. Hey! Banded earlier this morning as well! Gas in in my shoulder as well! Some in my back too! Its worse than the incisions! How many incisions do you have? I asked my doc about 2093 questions after the Surgery. I'm glad you are doing well, I'm happy for the both of us!
  13. Well it has finally arrived! Tomorrow the 22nd is my big band day! I'm more nervous than I have ever been my entire life! I feel sick! I will keep you all updated on how it goes. Surgery is at 07:30am so.. I most likely won't sleep tonight! Thanks for all the support thus far and I can't wait to get started with my life!!! xx- Cwal
  14. Welcome! I'm excited that you are getting back on track and I hope you are super successful! You will be looking and feeling great very soon! Also I LOVE visiting Oregon. Such a pretty place.
  15. Best wishes to you! Let us know how you are doing!
  16. Hey! I'm on day 13 as well! Surgery is on Monday. I've ben going through the SAME thing. The first days were smooth sailing but yesterday, today and I'm assuming tomorrow have been the hardest. I've been making my shakes a little thicker and trying to spice up my water so I can drink more but we can do this! Only a few more days! Best wishes to you!
  17. Dr. Adam Smith is my doctor. He is wonderful, sweet, passionate and on the plus side he has had the Lap-Band surgery him self and most of his staff have as well. They are all walking advertisements of how the band can work if used correctly. Check him out.
  18. First off I'm thrilled that you are having surgery, it is such an exciting thing! Second I would contact the Doc and like mine he gave me a packet of all the things I could/couldn't have. He gave me a break down on before surgery, a few days after surgery and then the many more weeks to come. It was very helpful and I've been studying it like a mad woman! I would recommend you ask the office for something similar so you will have an idea, and it'll assist you in preparing for before and after the surgery! Best wishes to you! xx
  19. So excited!!!! Can't wait to hear how it went!!
  20. It seems so difficult now but things will get easier. It is a struggle to get through the first few days with the lightheadedness, hunger pains etc. I promise it will get easier. I'm on day 12 of my liquid diet and honestly I feel great! It took me a few days but after day 2 or so it was getting much easier. I try not to think about it, keeping myself busy! I hope all goes well! You are so close! You can do it!
  21. I get where you are coming from! I'm on day 12 of all liquids, surgery is Monday. The first day or two is hard but then it just speeds on by and things get much easier! You are SO close, hang in there and everything will be okay!
  22. If you feel like you would be taking a chance by not getting both, then don't do it. I did a lot of stressing and running around during my mandated 6 month visits before surgery an in the end it paid off! I only ended up needing one from my PCP and I was able to just go through the nurse and she had him type something up and they sent it to me, pretty easy. You are doing great so far and I'm excited for you! Can't wait to hear more about your journey! : D
  23. I understand where you are coming from, hopefully you will be able to speak with the doctor beforehand personally and express why some can not be taken out and hopefully they will be able to address that with you! Hope all goes well!
  24. Cheese Itz and Sour Patch kids are hard to resist! I so understand where you are coming from, take each day slowly and just try your hardest. We all fall, but its about how quickly you get back up that matters. Don't linger on what you did just think about how you can stop your self from doing again! You can do it! xx
