We LOVE old cartoons in this house and my 6 year old has become a fanatic too! We have bugs bunny, daffy duck, taz and marvin the martian artwork throughout our house!
Right on the wall next to me now is the speechless print you were talking about above...a gift to my hubby...love that one two. Was sad when all the warner brother stores closed....hard to find good artwork now....
Nothing like snuggling on the couch with my little guy (and big guy too) watching old cartoons...my son knows its channel 126 in NY....thats the Boomerang station.

I'm so glad your surgery went so smoothly and that your family is being so wonderful while you recover. I honestly believe you're going to do beautifully with the band.

I love the title of this blog as I sometimes feel like I lost part of myself along the way -- or that I'm in there somewhere under the extra weight that of course holds me back. I am so happy for you to have made this big new change in your life and I hope I'm right behind you. Wishing you great success. I am 4+ Years out and just bought a size 2 pair of jeans. No longer do I take a bite past full. The lapband is the tool I needed. Apparently this is my first full button and it works. Blessings on your surgery and Keep the Faith! God is good all the Time! Keep us posted on your success. It will happen in its own time... not exactly like anyone else. But it will be GOOD!

Just got off the phone with my hubby a little while ago, and you know he said the same thing to me. "I miss eating".
I can understand that, but in the same breath we are both grateful for the band restriction.

Very well put. When I went to my surgeon's office the first time they gave me and every WLS person a huge book that has everything from the first visit to after the surgery. Why can't other doctors do this. Also listed was everyone's phone number in the office with their title.
Program your doctor's number in your phones,everyone.

Hang in there Lisa! You can and will get through it all! You are strong and the NO word will come easier and easier with practice. You look wonderful and there is no turning back now...
