Burping a lot?
I would recommend that you walk, walk, walk, and walk some more for the gas! I would highly recommend against using activated charcoal as it is used to induce vomiting. I also found myself burping and still do. It is a "norm" for me. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

Where did you notice the loss first?
- Where did you notice the loss first?
I see it in my feet too! It is kind of nice to see the bones in my feet! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- Where did you notice the loss first?
- Today was my day!
It is going well! I had my first fill Wednesday. It was not the most pleasant experience, but not the worst either! I slept the first night with the help of the Lortab he prescribed. I also had to sleep in my daughter's bed as mine is tall and I couldn't climb in! I can't wait to hear your progress! I'm down 22 lbs as of this morning. What part of the valley do you live? I'm in San Tan Valley/Queen Creek. Let me know if you have any questions...I may have some words of wisdom...or if not wisdom, I have a lot of words I can share! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- Today was my day!
- FINALLY!
Awesome! What a wonderful feeling! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- how soon after can I swim?
My doc told me as soon as my incisions were healed. I was a bit over two weeks out. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- Where did you notice the loss first?
So, scale aside, what are some of the places you first noticed your weight-loss? Here's what I noticed first: My calves got thinner My face And my upper arms (biceps) Just recently I noticed my bra seemed a bit large. Sure enough, "the girls" have shrank significantly (thank God). I really want to see more in my waist and hips now! Tell me yours! I thought it was weird to lose in my calves first...haha! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- 19 day out!
I also stopped losing after week 2. I held steady at 19 lbs. I just got a fill today and have 5 cc in my 10 cc band. My surgeon filled 4 cc during my "installation" of the band. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- First fill
Holy smokes! The nurse had to call another nurse in the help find my port. I got stuck 4 times (2 to numb and 2 Fluid needles) today. Had 4 cc's already in my 10 cc band. Added 1 cc. Sitting her sipping my Water so I can go home!- Inhaled my lunch...
Mis73 - today is one of the first times I have not felt the soft stop that tells me you are good so stop eating now. In the past I've felt that satisfied feeling well before I would have previously considered myself to have been done with my meal. We shall see what happens tomorrow!- Inhaled my lunch...
So I am in a district training for teachers today. I ate a Protein bar for Breakfast, but learned yesterday it would not hold me over until our lunch break so j brought a small snack. I ate a bit of my snack not wanting to eat much as knew Lunch was coming. So...lunch... I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and removed a bun immediately. I also pick a good portion of the remaining bun off as I eat. Anyway, dang if I didn't inhale this sandwich today! The while thing too! I was HUNGRY! I have my first appointment tomorrow and while I was considering no fill, I definitely think I need a small fill. My stomach doesn't hurt or feel bad in anyway, I just feel bad I didn't eat aspect as I should. And I KNOW AS I GET TIGHTER I will pay painfully if I do t follow the rules. Just being honest here and keeping myself accountable for the mistakes I make. Thank you for reading. Have a great day! Haha!- Post op diet!
My nurse hubby told me that my surgery day was considered day 0 and the following day would be day 1. Does that help you? Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- I found a new drink!
In the past I have always avoided any tea because they always tasted like tea. Even the flavored ones. I'm excited I found something I like! I like the Sobe drinks as well, just looking for caffeine for back to school! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- I found a new drink!
So stopping by Circle K or QT for a Diet Coke was a wonderful pleasure of mine. I have gone "cold turkey" off my Diet Coke and carbonation for that matter. Today I discovered diet green tea Peach flavored! I was starting to worry about going back to work on 8/2 (I'm a teacher) and having no caffeine. I am excited to have this as I often get bad headache that turn to migraines quickly. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- Warrior or whimp?
I begrudgingly got on my treadmill today. I didn't say a word. Just simply put on my clothes and shoes, got my Nike app ready, and ran. I only did 1.57 miles today and had a grumpy face the entire time. But! I did it! And so did you! Keep it up. Get into the routine and it will become a habit.- Heartburn... maybe?
I think you and I are band buddies (6/20). I don't seem to be having heartburn, but I get a sick to my stomach feeling a few times a week. It usually happens around a meal time and then I don't want to eat anything. Weird experiences!!- Its Summer, I Want To Enjoy It
My doc also said once my my incisions were healed I was good to go. It took me about 2 weeks.- First time eating out since banding...
My Dad is on town visiting and the kids decided we were going to Red Robin for dinner. Red Robin, where I would previously inhale a Bacon Cheeseburger and fries. Please note they also have bottomless fries. I often took advantage of that option. Along with the burger I would also have 2-3 refills on my beloved Diet Coke. So tonight...I order a Water to drink, but push it to the side to abide by the 30 minutes rule. When my sandwich arrived I promptly cut it in half and peeled off 1 half of the bun. I ate 1, yes 1, fry. I ate the majority of the half of my sandwich, but stopped when I felt satisfied. It was hard to fight my head and the notion that I must clean my plate. That was always the "rule" growing up, if you take it, you eat it all. It was so nice to walk away and not feel stuffed. I could also eat with family and not feel weird about it. I feel like this was a good mental turning point for me. When I got home I weighed myself...I still weigh exactly the same amount that I did this morning, previously I would have gained at least a pound if not more. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- Do you think...?
Thanks. Running really helped me dislodge some of the residual gas too. Maybe tomorrow I will give it a go! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- Do you think...?
I was banded 6/20/13 and I've lost 17.5 - 19 lbs depending on the day, or even time of day. Haha! Anyway, I've been running this past week and have been considering adding on my Tae-Bo videos. Is that too vigorous? So far I've lost: 1 inch in my waist and hips .75 inch in my upper arms Almost 2 inches in each thigh. Your advice is much appreciated. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- upset...insurance denied
You must also remember it has to so with negotiated benefits that the company you (or your spouse) work for set.- Keeping my Secret
Because I was also having a hiatal hernia repaired I told people I had the her is repaired, end of story. It isn't a lie as the hernia is being repaired. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk- upset...insurance denied
I also had a hiatal hernia so my insurance covered that repair (and consequently the anesthesia for the band). Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk - Where did you notice the loss first?
