I called they said it was fine. They said it happens all the time. New insurance covers it, all still a go for 1/31!

So, clearly I will be calling my surgeon's office this morning... I am scheduled for surgery 1/31/13. Just founf out today, that my husband's company is changing insurance companies on Jan 1. That cannot be good as I have done just about everything needed for the current insurane company. Ugh...the fun never ends...

Have you tried the dannon light and fit version of greek yogurt? It is flavored, under 100 calories and high in protein and YUMMY!

I will tell people after or closer to my surgery date. I am not embarassed, I just did not want to spend 6 months talking about it. I am a pretty quiet person abput my personal life, even though I know my firends will all be supportive.

I am not sleeved yet, but from everything I and I am sure you have read it will get better. Liquids suck, nit food ( though much less) is on the horizon! This is just the beginning to a brand new healthier, happier you!!

So, 1/31/13 is my surgery date, My surgeon did his b/w and my PTT ( clotting time) is long, meeting with a hemotologist this week. Went and ddid my endoscopy and I have ulcers in my esophagus, the Dr was amazed I was not crippled by it. ( the joys of a very high pain tolerance). All things are fine and I am glad to address them all now. I am on meds for the ulcers and OMG I have not had hearburn in 4 days, its like a whole new world! I just need to repeat the endoscopy in Dec to make sure I am healed which the Dr says I will be. In the interim, I have gained 6lbs, my knees hurt and my kids are driving me batty! LOL I am scared for surgery but I am soooo looking forward to feeling good!

I have 3 kids under 6 all with Autism. I am very nervous about after surgery as only one of my kids is potty trained. But, I am tough and my DH is great. We will make it work.

My surgery is 1/31/13 and since I have just started I am not apporived yet. I think its normal.

My Drs NUT had a form letter. Basically I said that I have been overweight 33 years ( more descriptive than saying since I was 6) and I specified the 3 times I lost a significant amount of weight ( over 50lbs) and how long it took me to regain it and more each time.

I am from Middletown NJ, but I am having my surgery further north with Dr Andrei at Morristown. I love Monmouth Med Center, but my PCP prefers Dr Andrei. Good luck!

As long as you take your medicine and do your bloowork to keep checking on your thyroid it should have no ill effect,

Hi there. My name is Dana and I am 39. I just made my first appt for a VSG. Here is some info about me. I am a SAHM mom to 3 kids under 6 all with special needs. My BMI is 0ver 41, but I do no habe any comorbities. My DH had LapBand last year and he is getting it removed and getting a VSG too. I need to live as long as I can to care for my kids. I know I can do this, and I have to. I have never believed in weight loss surgery, but, I am at a point where I realize that I need the help. I can do the work I just need the support. I am hoping that I can get the surgery before year end, but we shall see. Anyway, thnk you for all the info I have found here. It has helped a lot!!
