Insurance Changing...

So, clearly I will be calling my surgeon's office this morning...

I am scheduled for surgery 1/31/13. Just founf out today, that my husband's company is changing insurance companies on Jan 1. That cannot be good as I have done just about everything needed for the current insurane company.

Ugh...the fun never ends...

that’s my personal nightmare.

are they changing provider?

my plan administrator has a more stringent requirement (6mo) than the insurance company - and I keep double triple quadruple checking if I will still be covered in 2013.

I’m crossing fingers and toes for you.

I called they said it was fine. They said it happens all the time. New insurance covers it, all still a go for 1/31!

All the same I think I would see if I could arrange to pay an extra months premium and retain current coverage till surgery is done.

That's not an option. It will be fine.
