  1. Can't wait till I'm in green zone but congats
  2. I'm proud of you too
  3. I have only lost a pound or so since my surgery..My doctor told me I wouldnt see the scale drop till about my 3rd fill..my first feel is in 2 weeks. All my weight loss is from pre op
  4. you are doing amazing congrats!
  5. i used isopure for pre op but I'm currently using celebrate
  6. I first looked in 09 then life kept hitting me hard Fast forward to Feb/march of this year and I was back in the office for another consult..I was banded may 7th after having to switch doctors because it was my doctor and "advocate" holding me up
  7. mine was 2 shakes a day and one small meal-then it changed to two small meals butI stuck with the original throughout the whole time..two days before banding was all liquids then night before nothing not even water until after banding
  8. good luck doll. I was banded on the 7th. You will do great!
  9. I didn't all over but I noticed a bit of one by my glue (on top of the stiches-Im thinking since its the same doc you have the same wounds) It sounds like a allergic reaction-are you taking any of the meds still that you were not taking before? What about Protein Drinks have you switched those? Call Wilkenfeld and ask what they think of course... I've called multiple times with ridiculous questions but they have been super helpful
  10. Oh wow. Congrats but wow. And to think it irritated me when they made me take a pregnancy test twice (hadn't missed and was on point) guess there truly is reasons they make you do all sorts of things. Good luck on the new baby an the banding after
  11. Watch out with the calories on those-they were actually mentioned at my post op last week because they are packed with protein but a very high calorie count
  12. My doctor recommends 800-1200
  13. My doc said 6-8 weeks
  14. Perfectly normal. Your doctor should have warned you though
  15. Bit pricey compared to some but I used Isopure from GNC. It's premixed and don't have the nasty Protein shake taste. 40 grams protein in the 20 oz bottle and 0 sugars and carbs (I think it's 0 sugars its under 5 for sure)) it's also only 160 calories. Red was my fave. The green apple melon was decent (not a apple person) but I couldn't stand the orange one...probably because that's the flavors of my chewable Vitamins. You need more protein or you will be starving all the time. I was banded this morning but all liquids was never fun. The head hunger is the worst part of it
  16. Well I'm finally on the post op sides...the incisions where bigger than I thought there would be but other than that and a thirst I can't get rid of my pain is mild to medium. Trying to sleep isn't really working but I fell asleep for 30-45 min early and I'm thinking the only reason I woke up is because it was time for meds again. Got there at 630 this morning and by 830 I was getting prepped and the next thing I knew I was partway through with postop recovery and it was 1041 - I believe we were on our way home by 1114 if I read it correctly. Helpful hint are always welcome
  17. Thank y'all I'm here now..lots of people here with me so they will be plenty busy today
  18. Well today is the day. I have to be there in 1.5 hours. Good luck to everyone else today!
  19. Staples!?! No one warned me I would have staples... 8| I get banded in the morning. I have to be there at 630. Congrats on weight loss and staples out none the less though
  20. Thank y'all. I believe I am officially in the panic stage lol. I have double and triple checked everything every day for the past few days to make sure I had every thing I need And I probably have enough food to feed a family of 8 for two weeks because I don't want to run out of something and still be in two much pain to go out. Today is my first day pure liquid before surgery. Lucky for my doctor they are closed today or I would have blown up there phone all day :/
  21. I have a magic bullet will that purée my food enough? Or do I need a food processor? I'm lost. And need help quick because I'm working none stop until my surgery (may 7th at 630am)
