  1. I am still through true results though. I'm doing the hernia/ band program to make my self pay more affordable since my insurance does cover fixing hiatal hernias just not banding
  2. Mine was originally Hollis but I ran into a few issues So i switched doctors to dr wilkenfeld in Conroe because I was tired of not getting anywhere. It's quite a drive but I met him today and liked him so far. I'm in Pasadena area just getting band in Houston Hollis seemed very very nice and I was completely ready for him to band me but he was requiring a sleep study and wouldn't budge from it even after I got letters from other doctors that a sleep study was not needed or warranted for me (I don't snore and I've never complained of sleep issues other than my strange work schedules) With all honesty I think it was more my advocate being too busy and having too much on her plate..
  3. Congrats on having the band done and thank you for the advice...I'm trying my best How long did you take off after you had the band placed? My Advocate told be three days..but even though she has the band I'm not sure if that's a reasonable goal to aim for..
  4. Just curious if anyone else is having banding on May 7 2013.. It's getting close so I'm getting more anxious every time I think about it. I've been reading these threads for a few months but didn't register until yesterday so I'm still a newbie to this group and lapband in general. Any helpful advice would be greatly Appreciated.
  5. Good luck doll my banding is on the 7th but no matter the struggle to get it, it will be worth it. ((At least that's what I'm telling myself to stay focused))
  6. My pre op was this morning and banding will be on may 7th Good luck!! Where are y'all located? I'm getting banded in Houston tx
  7. Are you may 7th in Houston as well? Congrats on almost being there
  8. My first doctor (I switched this week after issues with the first) gave me the written one saying 4oz meat 1cup fruit& veggies but I had preop this morning and this doctor said to split it into two meals to make it more realistic and gave me a plan that just went over Protein requirements... I'm new to the whole idea of Protein drinks as well...so far I have found one that's decent and a few that are horrid lol I will call in the morning to recheck I just feel like I'm messing it up :/
  9. May 7th is my day but I found out today a few days into my pre op diet that they gave me they wrong info because I'm suppose to have about 4 oz of food at my one meal but they told me 4oz chicken/fish/lean beef, 1cup vegetable and 1 cup fruit...which is far too much for me too eat to begin with. Now I need help on figuring out meals for the one meal a day I'm allowed before 48 hours before my banding on May 7th Beyond nervous that I've messed up this whole process. I'm self pay in Houston doing the hiatal hernia- banding program. Thank you
