  1. Although didn't by either (went with the subaru forester) I checked out both the fit and the spark. I personally would go with the fit, it's super roomy the spark is a little tighter with space. You might get more bells and whistles with the chevy but in my opinion honda is more reliable over the long run, also go test drive both this might help you with your decision. Good Luck!
  2. Yep those sugar alcohols can be the Devil! Maltitol from a sugar free cookie almost caused a Level 111 meltdown in my shorts while on quite a long subway ride into the city. ????????
  3. They can't cancel your surgery for that I don't think. I'd go with blerd girls recommendation in that they make you ill because they're to sweet.
  4. I start mine on Feb. 3rd. im allowed 4 to 5 shakes a day, coffee or tea no milk and 2 cups of veggies cooked or raw along with low sodium broth. Looks like veggie Soup every night.
  5. Sounds like a scam, although if thats what your surgical team is recommending then I would roll with the punches. My NUT gave me sheet with different shakes to choose from my pre op starts Feb. 3rd I think i'm going to use the premier Protein. Oh just a side note it's the lowering of carbs that shrink your liver, carbs turn to sugar and have to be processed by your liver causing elevated triglycerides and fatty/inflamed liver.
  6. February 17th here as well, oh boy! Getting a liiiiitttttlllllleeeee anxious.
  7. Thank you for your responses. I appreciate it.
  8. The Scoop, wipe and sweat method of wiping my butt!
  9. @ 3boysandanewME is NYU a bad choice on my part? you got me a little nervous. Lol. Anything I should consider my surgery is probably sometime in February with Dr. Wren, any recommendation from an insider would be welcome.
  10. I'm having mine done @ NYU langone medical center which is a bariatric center of excellence Dr. Wren fielding was recommended by my primary care physician. I've been going there for 2 months and they are extremely professional.
  11. During my failed attempt @ the Paleo diet this with a litte smidge of Peanut Butter was to die for, one square should do the trick very rich but oh so yummy! Lindts 85% dark chocolate 2 for 5 bucks @ CVS if you have one near you.
  12. Something I should have asked mine and didn't, When is it necessary to place stents?
  13. Simple it's from Carbs/sweets and or booze/beer.
  14. Inserting a hose through "that" hole literally scares the living piss out of me!
  15. I have emblem health in NY and am going through the "process". I have my weigh in's at my surgeons office emblem also requires 3 months of physician monitered diet or nutrition program. Good Luck!
  16. I hear Vitacost is good and there's always amazon.
  17. Hoping for mid February! Good Luck everyone.
  18. Obesity like cigarettes kill you slowly, I know I smoked for a long time and have been heavy all my life. In my twenties no problems I felt invincible in my forties Heart disease X 2 stents, High blood pressure, sleep apnea, knocking on diabetes door oh and also I take more medicine than I care to count. I have two young sons and I constantly think about what can go wrong with my surgery and than I think about how I can have a stroke or heart attack without the surgery for me it's a no brainer I want to be around as long as the good Lord let's me. Life is short nothing wrong with trying to make the most of what we've got. Good luck on your decision!
  19. Yes my first go round at this before i chickened out 2yrs ago I had the same issue it was resolved with the ppi's I was on a pepcid and nexium cocktail and it cleared everything up unfortunately they are going to scope you again. This year I have put a fire under my ass and earfmuffs on to avoid all the negative people full steam ahead i'm getting scoped on saturday with surgery sometime in Feb. hopefully. Good luck to you!
  20. My Surgeon told me Low-carb and include a good protien shake, eventually 2 weeks prior surgery I will be on a liquid diet (protien shakes) and veggies for dinner. It's tough hang in there.
