  6. I had VSG on March 6th and it was the best thing I could do for myself. After years of yo-yo dieting it was the best tool to help me. Before surgery I was taking 2 blood pressure pills and one for high cholesterol. When discharged from the hospitalI no longer had to take those medications. having the surgery has helped me to eat healthier and I have have lost 56 pounds so far. before surgery not only was I overweight I also was diagnosed with Lupus and fibromyalgia and boarderline diabetic. I think VSG has helped me become more aware of what kind of foods I was eating, I have to have protienm then veggies and drink water! It has helped me make make healthier choices. You will do well! I was second guessing myself, but I am glad I did it.☺ Use the time that you have to research, check out this blog, the members who are here have all been there done that and can help if you have any questions ! Good luck in your journey!
  7. I am going to try it in a smoothie or chicken broth- hopefully that will mask the flavor! Thanks all!

  10. I purchased a container of Injury Unflavored Protien powder and mixed it with Water and crystal lite- it was the most disgusting thing that I tried! So now I have this container and don't know what to do with it! Does anyone have any ideas on how to use it? I see that alot of people mix it with jello- I don't eat jello! I hate to throw it out, but that first taste totally turned me off to trying it with anything else! Thanks!

  12. I had my surgery March 6th, and am ending the pureed phase this week. Anything I seem to eat lately tastes terrible, chicken salad, tuna salad - all the things I liked before now taste horrible! Anyone have any ideas?

  21. I am so hungry! I started mine today and failed miserably... I have to have 4 protien shakes, 1/2 cup cream of wheat, 1/2 c applesauce, 3 oz chicken or fish and 2 servings of veggies along with 64oz of Water. I know its head hunger but I just want to make a big sandwich and wolf it down. My surgery is on MArch 6th, I don't know if I can do this!

  27. Hi, New to the board and have been a lurker. Today I had my pre-surgical endoscopy preformed, and the GI Dr found a few ulcers. He has me on a PPI to take 30 minutes before dinner. I am afraid that I won't be able to get my sleeve done, it is scheduled for 2/6/15. Did anyone else have this issue?
