  1. Call your Surgeon and ask for it, it helps a lot.

  3. Hello, my question is what do you guys mix your crushed meds with im only 3 days post op so my choices are limited I appreciate any suggestions, thanks.
  4. I just want to thank everybody for all the support. It went well, not as bad as I thought except for the nasty gas. Thank God for Dilaudid!

  6. 7am check in tomorrow, must say I'm a lil' nervous I hear the slow motion clock from the movies in my head Tick..... Tock.... Tick..... Tock!!! It's going to be a long day.

  8. I'll google it thank you sir.
  9. I'm on day nine hang in there, I'm not going to say the pre op gets better but your body does get used to it. Just keep your mind busy and focus on the big picture.
  10. Yes you can mix them with either, try samples from gnc or vitamin shoppe as was recommended to me before buying a giant tub o' this tastes disgusting, these powders vary in taste especially from person to person. I've spent over a 100$ already and have only found a handful I like.
  11. Oh great! I'll look for the one here that's a great idea. Thank you.
  12. Good morning folks, I 'm have surgery coming up this Tuesday and to keep my mind occupied I was planning ahead and was wondering what cookbooks all you guys and gals are using post op? Thanks in adavance.
  13. Nothing like a well made Meatza! mmm mmm
  14. I'm on day 9 of this existence, low sodium broth, coffee,sf popsicles,sf Jello all of these help if you are allowed them every pre op diet is a little different. Also I find it helps to keep busy, read a book, watch a movie, work just don't watch the food network. I felt a little better around day 5 but been having my ups and downs. Hang in there!
  15. I have lost 12 lbs in the past week on my pre-op diet this is what I'm allowed: 4-5 protein shakes equal to about 100g of protein and must be low carb, low sodium broths, sf jello,sf Popsicles and two cups of raw or cooked low carb veggies.
  16. I'm having similar issues, it sounds gross but if your not Vegetarian or Vegan while perusing Amazon there was one called Carnivor beef protein isolate I can't recall but I believe it was dairy free. Good luck.
  17. Congrats! Just ok? How are you feeling?
  18. Also the book by Allen Carr, I used e-cigs and weened my self off.
  19. This worked for a friend of mine, me not so much. http://www.auriculotherapy.com/
  20. This might of been said before but maybe we are assigned the pre-op to give us a glimpse of what is to come, speaking from my own experience I am a week in to my liquid diet is it fun,NO is it doable YES. The way I look at it is as a test, if I can't suck it up for 2 weeks how am I going to live the rest of my life eating what is essentially a restricted diet. The negatives for me so far: headaches, nausea, cramps (from protein shakes) and a general disinterest in food ( I use to go the supermarket like I was going to a party, my most recent trip was underwhelming) Positives: Lost 11 lbs in a week, a general disinterest in foods and saving money on groceries. Hang in there folks and good luck!
  21. Bkp I'm not a Dr. But I think you should be fine, mine cleared up in a little over a month.
  22. It depends on when your surgery is they have to heal your stomach before they can operate. They found ulcers during my first Endo they treated them with nexium/Prilosec cocktail scoped me again ulcers were gone and my surgery is next Tuesday. Good luck.
