Hi Ladies,
I haven't started my liquid diet yet.. will on 7/03rd.. I'm scheduled for surgery on 7/11th.
But pretty much what you are having is what I will be having. Oh my DR did add SF popsicles No more then 3 a day.
How are the Isopure?
Am on Celebrate ENS + Protein shake (Vanilla Cake Batter). It Good but the price for every 2 weeks is not so good. LOL
Diva, How do you do it. I haven't cooked since i started my pre op diet on 6/18th. Its so tempting. My hubby is becoming a great cook.

Today is my fist day of liquid pre-op diet, I have read and seen so many videos of people struggling through the first days of liquid diet............... "NOW" I get it! hahahhhaha
My surgery day is July 4th 2013.
I'm almost done with day 1!!!
My menu so far has been:
Breakfast: vanilla Isopure with Water, 4 oz grape juice mixed with 2 cups water.
Middle morning: sugar free Jello
Lunch: 1 cup chicken broth, 4oz cranberry juice mixed with 2 cups water.
Middle afternoon: sugar free jello
Dinner: planning to have 1 cup of Isopure Zero Carb clear Protein and 1 cup of tea.
I guess the rest of my days will be similar, any ideas???

Today I cooked tostadas de ensalada de pollo y sopa de fideo to my husband... I really didn't felt anything for it.
At this time of the day (8pm) I'm feeling very sleepy and I usually go to bed around 11:30pm.

For what it's worth, your first priority has got to be you. Go to counseling on your own. This surgery is about to dump all kinds of changes on your plate, and when you add that to the marriage issues, it's a whole lot to handle! Having an objective & non-judgmental outlet in which to process all of this stuff can do you a world of good. It doesn't really matter if he goes or not...you go for you, and figure out what you need to do to have the life you want.

I don't mean to give a sarcastic reply, but if my husband ever spoke to me that way I would wait until he was asleep, get the cast Iron skillet out of the kitchen, go wake him up, then the first thing he'd see when he opened his eyes would be the skillet crashing down on his face.
Do not put up with this type of BS. Life is too short and the time you spend wondering how to 'fix him' - well that is time you'll never get back.

My hubby and sister will be taking me to hospital!
I have mixed emotions! Im nervous glad, happy and excited!
Once I can update I definitely will!

NtvTxn speaks wisdom. The only thing I'd add to what she said is that the worst part of everything to me was the first four days of the two-week preop diet. Yes, it was worst than the surgery. But I'm so glad I did it because it made it so that I wasn't feeling like I was dying from starvation.
I was just saying earlier that I *LOVE* eating less than a girl and feeling full.
It's gonna be great!

Sharon, I know it is nerve wracking and exciting all at the same time. You'll be fine, you are taking the first step to a new way of life. Enjoy every step, take time to enjoy each time you go down a size. Have a friend or spouse, someone, point out people at the mall that are your size....because YOU will NOT see yourself as others see you, not for a long time, maybe never! I'm three years out and I still don't see it. I know I'm smaller, but when someone says "tiny" or "skinny" I almost look behind me and then the fat girl inside giggles!!! You won't believe the changes a year from now. Go to the store NOW, or on your way to the hospital and have someone take your picture. Then every month on your surgery 'date', have someone take your picture. After your one year anniversary picture, take the disposable camera and have the film developed. There is nothing like laying all those pictures, side by side and seeing the transformation! It is one of the things I'm so glad I did. I read about someone else doing it, right here on this forum!!! Good luck to you.....in 24 hours, you'll be on the "Loser's Bench" with the rest of us!!!

Hi everyone , I just want to say I was sleeved on 19th June and can't believe how good I feel , yes I got some discomfort from the surgery which is to be expected but otherwise feel on top of the world , I must admit a lot of this is due to my wife helping and looking after me she has been a angel . Can't wait now to heel up and start to live my new life this time with the added bonus of doing more with my Children . A big thank you to the staff at Morriston Hospital Swansea especially Nia and Mr Caplin brilliant .... Honest I can't thank everyone enough

No soy Latina pero hablo español poquito y comprendo mucho. Puedo leer y comprender mucho. I just love reading you guys posts. I have a love the spanish language and culture. Some of my friends use me to translate for them. I am not fluent but I understand a lot. I had friends who were mexicanas, salvadorena, boricua, y de honduras. I don't have anyone to practice with so that I can become fluent.

Your word says that You will strengthen me on my bed of illness and that You will sustain me on my sickbed. Yes Lord! I trust Your word and turn to You for help. Human wisdom and skill are nothing before You. So, please fill the doctors who attend to me with Your divine wisdom Lord so that they can perform the surgery in a perfect manner. Take all those who assist them, in Your hands and keep them as Your instruments in bringing healing to me. I cling to Your promise that You are always with me, wherever I go! You never forget the cry of the humble. Lord! Hold my hand tightly and grant me Your peace so that I can undergo this surgery courageously.
