Your husband and daughter are completely different than choosing not to tell people you are not close with. My husband going to a strip club may hurt my feelings and me getting surgery should hurt anyones feelings so it shouldnt matter. You guys must be hanging out in the wrong places..who said bigger women dont get hit on?...I'm pre surgery and get more attention than my stick thin friends...honestly I wouldn't want attention from men who wouldn't give me attention now. You can't love me at my worst you sure as hell can't at my best...not that I think big is worst looks wise, just health wise. I think confidence is more where your getting attention from, you feel confident with your new body.

But a lot of drs dont give a pre op diet. Mine doesnt and he doesnt have more problems than any other surgeon. He said as long as you don't gain weight thats fine.

I'm guessing because of the rice..carbs. I was only told specifics for weeks 1-8 so far

I just met with my surgeon today. .I had all intents of doing the band and after meeting with him and answering some questions I've decided on the sleeve. My surgery is on May 23rd so excited!

Ok another weird question. I guess I can ask this during my anesthesiologist pre op appointment but the nurse told me no makeup or nail polish on surgery day. I knew no makeup because that's what they told me during my last surgery but they never told me no nail polish. Does anyone know the reason, is it about bright colors? I only ask because my graduation is exactly a week before and ill probably be getting a gel French manicure for that, would that be okay. Gel doesnt come off with nail polish remover so id have to go back to salon to take it off

I dont mean to sound rude or anything I'm just confused because I only started this process not too recently.
A little about me..ive been eating 1200 calories or less for the past 3 years (most days under 1000 calories) and exercising regularly 6 days per week. I do this all to remain stable and not gain weight while ive been wanting to lose weight it wasnt happening so I looked towards surgery.
I see people on here say they lose 30-50, even more lbs on a preop diet and my dr said if I could do that then there would be no point of the surgery. I'm just wondering if some people can lose that weight on their own, why do they get the surgery?

My insurance is great and will cover a Tummy Tuck and breast augmentation but nothing else..however I'm only on it until I'm 26, I'm 23 now. I probably dont want a tummy tuck until after I have kids anyway. I'm getting ahead of myself I havent even had the survery yet lol. I will take lots of pictures if I notice excess skin. Thanks for the advice
