  1. Oh yeah I completely agree about the moderator, at least the one in this thread. I thought moderators are supposed to be non biased...instead he/she begun judging me about parenting. I hope I didn't break any forum rules...I was honestly trying to tell this medling woman that what other people do is none of her business.
  2. But what is anyone gonna do about the coordinators mistake? All they would tell you to do is to contact the surgeon's office and you have already done that. With a less than a week to get surgery it is highly unlikely you would get it done even if resolved by that office. We are just giving other advice. If you dont like the advice on how to work with your school schedule I'm sure the rest of us will just say you are screwed. You have followed all the necessary steps. That is a really strict school btw for getting put on probation for missing a class..id hate to catch the flu there.
  3. Yeah I'm in grad school and I missed many classes in undergrad and a whole week during intersession for a different surgery and because I told professors about it ahead of time I was fine. I dont think anyone on here can give you any advice besides what you already did.
  4. I also dont think anyone was giving you advice about school. I'm jealous of your scholarship though lol.
  5. I'm also a full time student and there are ways around it...do you have classes all 5 days per week? Maybe you can do the surgery before a long weekend like memorial day and then just take a day or two off classes. In all honesty I'm sure as long as you have someone driving you to school and you are not carrying more than 10lbs of books you will probably be fine in class. If its a ordinary class you will be sitting, the same thing you will be doing at home.
  6. But if someone did choose to parent like this why would it be yours or Louise's business?
  7. The funny thing is almost EVERYONE disagrees with you. When that happens it makes you wonder who is the hard headed ignorant one?
  8. I'm still presurgery but bmi makes a difference so ask them to either include that or include their height. I weigh 268 and am 5'9" but I assure you I will probably lose weight slower than someone who is 268 and 5'1"
  9. Your husband and daughter are completely different than choosing not to tell people you are not close with. My husband going to a strip club may hurt my feelings and me getting surgery should hurt anyones feelings so it shouldnt matter. Once again we can agree to disagree, everyone is not as candid as you and that doesn't mean they are liars..maybe according to your legal term they are but not according to their morals. How about u just stop speaking down to me and everyone else on this thread and go live your perfect little life.
  10. I know this is going to sound gross but I am trying to think of a personal matter Louise might be able to understand . Say you went and used the bathroom (#2) but you failed to mention you used laxatives because you were constipated in your mind this is lying by emission. Or if you had a baby and failed to mention you used in vitro to conceive, you are lying by emission. Btw I dont agree with lying by emission.
  11. So they are liars and you are a hypocrit...and we can agree to disagree. AND just because you believe omission is lying doesn't mean everyone thinks that and until you get your phD in honesty, I cannot side with you
