wheeling got a reaction from kae21879 in Wow 71 pounds gone in 2 months post op
I had my surgery on June 19th. Was 294 Lost 10 on pre op. today weight is 227. Down 67. Very happy. I like Fred, eat 5 or so very small meals. I hit the gym regularly. I can't eat much at a time so the small meals help. My doc preferred me to eat three meals no more. But had trouble with that. My goal is to get down to 210.

wheeling got a reaction from CorvetteGirl in 1-week stall....REALLY?!
The main thing u have to realize is at one week out from surgery your body is in healing mode and not weight loss mode. It holds onto the weight for now. I had a week stall also. Keep drinking the Water and Protein and the weight will start dropping. Believe me. Down 47 in 7 weeks including the stall.

wheeling got a reaction from Brenda0928 in Hey June 25 Sleevers
I was sleeved on 6/19. With the one week pre op diet I'm down 40 pounds. Going smoothly. But for the people who are losing slowly dont panic, just follow dr orders and the weight will come off.

wheeling got a reaction from Carol GarronColeman in Why Am I Not Losing Weight?
Ya. The stall is normal. I lost 26 pounds in three weeks , one of those weeks was pre op and I have stalled for 5 days now. Totally normal. The body has been through some shock and is trying to heal itself and is holding onto the weight right now. My surgeon didn't even care about my weight loss.... Yet. The weight will come off in the next months That's the real test.

wheeling got a reaction from lastone719 in Starting the process
Hi all. My 2 cents. I am at end of six month procress and hopefully will get sleeved in June. I am saying sleeved but tossed and turned a long time because making this decision. Yes the band is a simpler surgery and reversable , but why do you want to something reversable? I know some people who had struggled with the band and others who loved it, but the real problem here is a lot of people end of converting to the sleeve later on because of the band slippage or scar tissue. Not trying to pour cold Water on the banders, I really thought in the beginning that the band was for me, but after alot of research, the sleeve seemed like a better long term approach. But for you successful banders on here, I'm glad to see its working for u. Hey gov Chris Christie did the band recently, so we'll see how he does..good luck to all and wish me luck!

wheeling got a reaction from eyengo in Booze?
I know my surgeon told me that after I'm sleeved in June that carbonation is out. So no more jack and diet cokes. What about wine? Anyone know If wine or an occasional beer or a drink without coke is allowed? I not a big drinker, but no wine or coffee will be rough!
