Thanks for all the great advise.. My only concern with Chantix is my mom tried it and it made her severely depressed. I have stopped on my own before and not even for this big of a reason so i think i can do it again.. I have so much to gain without it...

YouTube Do you have a channel?
BigbootyQT- I can totally relate to ppl in your ear telling you to just work out.. what i get a lot of is "do it the natural way".. i don't really have a lot of ppl in my life that support me because I'm pretty much the most overweight person around. But thru this support site i have been able to reach out and learn a lot.

Question about liquids! Please help!
The overall results that i have read state: Do not to drink with food, Do not drink 30 min before or after your meal. Basically by drinking you are able to eat more and that contradicts the reason for having surgery done to begin with.

Preop smokers? Help please!
I am two weeks away from my initial consult but I am already aware that I will need to quit also before i can have surgery. I thought that for me i may try the e-cig but now that i think about it i guess it has nicotine too. Hmm.. I know the last time i quit smoking i gained 20lbs.. hopefully that won't happen this time.. wow this is soooo not an "easy" lifestyle change as everyone likes to negatively tell us.

Quick Glimpse of Pre-op need to know, do's & don'ts, hospital/home checklist
Here's a compilation of the information that i have found during researching. Some from other posts and some from websites. I am not a medical professional. Just a individual who is about to journey down the same road as you are. My VSG consult apt is Jan 15th Fort Worth, TX. Many of you have inspired me and helped me make this process some what less nerve racking so I thought the least I could do was share the knowledge. Feel free to list any additional tips or advise that i may have overlooked. Sleeve Stomach Comparison/Concept: Stomach is going from the size of a Football to the size of a plastic Easter egg.
