Thank you for your kind words last night was rough for me. I understand I am doing it for the good and well being of my son but with him crying why Mom are you doing this to me broke my heart. Amazing he got over it when I showed him the pill Mommy and Daddy have to take each day to help us with our problems and his tiny little pill next to ours was unfair with that said he took the pill. I also need to prepare if the Strattera does not work on it's trial run we might have to try the next option and give the Ritalin a trial run and see if that will work for him. I need to get better informed of what is out there. I would love for him to have a ton of friends and hopefully that will happen soon enough. PS - going to talk today with the Pharmicist today

Well is official we are going to give my son Strattera I am just so sad. I have been the one pushing for help with him and now that I have the medication I do not want to give it to him.. Am I crazy or what??? Anyway Dr was a little peeved because he wanted to start him off on ridlin (cannot even spell) first then move him to Stattera. Does not make sense to me. I told him no I want the Strattera. Well I'm off to go cry in the bathroom where he won't see me.

Thank you all, Today is the day and he asked me this morning what the Dr was going to do to him? Told him not a thing we are just going to sit and talk and see what we can do to help you concentrate better in school. He is my heart and soul along with his little brother and the way he acts defines his being and I would not change him. So with that I will let you know what happens at this visit.

  7. Some times there are reasons that we have road blocks in the road of life. I was approved in May but things kept coming up and I was not banded till July. I am a true believer that everything happens for a reason. Take care of your medical issues now so that when you are banded you will not have to worry about added health issues.
  8. I am sorry to hear that she is so sick.. What does the Dr Say??? Is her band to tight??? How did the stroke affect her if you do not mind me asking. She is way to young to have had a stroke. I am sure you will get a lot of feed back from the veteren Bandsters. Will keep you all in my prayers
  9. I agree the Phenegren helped me I just had 1 episode after I was home from the hospital. When we went in for our overview of all the banding information he had our presciptions for Phenegren, Pain Med & our Band Id's written out for us and ready in our books. Nice to have on hand just in case

Thank You Leslie, Hope your son is doing better. Is there something else he can try? Non stimulant out there?? I hope everything works out for him. Of course you do not want him becoming so ill with the pill and I hear you about him losing weight and not being on the charts, I have a 3 yr old who is 28 pounds but he is on his own chart Healthy as a bear. Will keep everyone posted to the out come of our visit tommorrow with the Doc.

  16. Thank for the information Paula. The reason I ask is because anytime through out the day that I drink water I get a burning sensation in the back of my throat where my tonsils would be at first I thought it was reflux and took Nexium for awhile did nothing for it. Then I got a sore throat chalked it up to that but now that I am better it is there again. The popping sound you describe is what I hear on a daily basis cannot take me to a movie let me tell you I am a distraction, that is all you hear. I sleep now in an upright position cause I was getting alot of reflux there for awhile so I now drink or eat nothing after 6pm and wait at least 4hrs after eating to lie down. I read the different replies and have changed my appt from later next month to this Friday just to be sure that my band or my fill is ok. My tummy feels fine if I did not have this constant burnung I would feel fine.. Please up date us once you get your results. Hope everything goes well
  17. Lisa it does not look that bad.. It actually looks alot better than I expected. I hope it heals up fast for you. One of the gals here has an open wound too that is packed on a daily basis.
  18. Just glad you are being taken care of.. Yep the post were pretty wild took me a good 5 seconds to think pull up the post or not.
  19. Lisa I am so glad you finnally got answer. Cannot believe a culture was not done before you had to suffer through all this. You are a trooper Praying for your speedy recovery
  20. I cannot believe my stats today, on Sat I bought a scale and weighed myself and it said 177.00 which I could believe but this am got on it after my shower and it says 171.00 I had to try it about 6 times thought something was wrong with it.. Even weighed my boys just to make sure. It Works! Have to change me ticker now.
  21. Hope everything works out for you Paula. Do you mind sharing what other sensations you are having?
  22. I just got over a horrible sore throat I myself thought it was reflux 1st cause I could not swallow and had burning when I drank Water. But the phlegm showed up then I new it was a cold I have been babying myself warm liquids and Nexium that the Dr told me to take. Just check with your Dr and see if they can give you any advise or take a look. Oh and Congrats

Well today my husband called me after 4pm School wanted me to come in. Needless to say they had a guest Speaker and he was all over the place making noises. Talked with the Principal for awhile and explained that he shows none of those signs at home just is beyond me. But I did mention the appt to his Dad at least. Now does Strattara come only in a pill or a tablet that disolves? Thanks Paula at least I need not worry in the eating dept but I guess just like my band we will learn as we go.
  24. when I lay down my port is a little lower I can feel it when I do a sorta sit up. When I stand up it is right under my bra line. Other than that no need to feel it sort of happens by mistake kinda freaks me out.
