  1. Mexican doctors were doing the procedures before our doctors here. Dr. Ariel Ortiz in Tijuana is the one that brought the procedure to Mexico and he is the best! He proctored American doctors who went to Mexico to learn with Him at his hospital. He can set you up with doctors he has taught here in the US like my doctor Lee Grossbard in Tampa, FL! Look into that!
  2. Gas x strips did not work for me. The gas x chewable worked very well along with Tums!
  3. Heating pad on belly and shoulder, gas-x, tums, and walk, walk, walk!
  4. Small plates, shrimp fork, baby spoons, measuring cup, scale. I purchased a nutri-bullet and am glad I did!
  5. Everyone is different! I am almost 4 weeks post op and my port site is still sore at the end of the day!
  6. No because I always knew I'd gain it all back like many a time before!
  7. I was at the market a but ago and all the "healthy" processed meals are loaded with sodium and things we are not supposed to eat after banding. What surprised me the most was that Kashi is one of the worst culprits. Anyway we should not be able to eat that much food at a time. Remember 1/4 cup 3 x a day!
  8. Best decision you ever made! For you and your family!
  9. Me too! I'm 55 but am starting to feel the energy of 30! Let you know when I reach 20!
  10. There is too much sugar in apple and cranberry juice. Try the diet ocean spray cranberry and unsweetened apple juice. You don't need the calories!
  11. Give it a few days. You'll be surprised how fast you heal!
  12. My hubby and family knew, everybody else later!
  13. Sending prayers and blessings your way, you'll be fine!
  14. On the road to health. Keep us posted, it's all worth it!
  15. Yup! Bandster He'll! I got used to fighting it in 6 weeks. Mind over matter until I get to the fill that takes me into the green zone! Don't worry many have been there and many more will come. Don't feel bad it's normal!
  16. Stomach, neck and upper arms are a problem for me! Let me know if the Mederma works! Please!!!
  17. I was banded on 12/14 and I still cannot run. I saw the doctor Monday and he said to exercise but wait at least two more weeks to run because the intraabdominal stitches take longer to heal.
  18. Sweetheart, take the good advice and discard the rest! Please see your doctor as soon as possible! I haven't had a fill yet and could not deal with one right now! It is known that people can and will resort slider foods because that's all that can be tolerated. Stop the sliders and call your doctor and nutritionist! Do not be overwhelmed and do not regret the band until you find out what's going on!
  19. I have heard of a few that were turned down surgery date!
  20. I was banded on 12/14 by Dr Grossbard in Tampa. He is a business partner of Dr. Aguila! Dr. Aguila is now in Dr Grossbard's office also.
