Pray for me had major complication. They had to emergency cut me open. I was sent home in n pain Friday evening and was rushed to hospital Saturday night 2 local hospital. The emergency rushed me to hospital I orginally procedure done. My doctor on a vacation and his second in charge handle my procedure they found a blood clot and I was unable to hold any liquids down in this is now I've been Hospital since sat. I had blood trans fusion an my heart rate wont go away. Day of surgery 27 ywars old 228 weight havent had anything all weekend. I am in ICU just wanted some prayers

Decided to post my high weight and pre surgery pic. I lost 40lbs in the after pic:) it's encouraging to see the difference...can't wait to do it again in 40 more lbs

That is 6 weeks of weight loss...definitely need to stay determined!

Mine too and that is where i hurt so bad! Has to be a muscle because it feels like I'm being ripped open whenever i sit or lay down. Hopefully the indent will go away and our whole stomach will look like a "6-pack" in a few months!!

I agree it sounds delish but I'm easily distracted by shiny objects so I switch to thinking about me in sexy cloths!!! I have a costume picked out for Halloween already

One of the girls here when I have/had troubles not drinking soda or eactly as I should pre-op (its truely a mind set to change)
I have made a ton of these they are around anywhere there is food or really anywhere.
I wanted to share this with everyone.

Omg that sounds so yummy... im on a liquid only diet, surgery is on Wednesday

I am a little over six weeks out and have had nausea that comes and goes. I was sent home with sublingual Zofran and it is a miracle drug. I discussed prior to surgery how I hate nausea and wanted to make sure we had a plan in place. Of course I had severe nausea due to the initial pain med and PCA i was on but it got much better after 48 hours. By the time I discharged I was much better. I know can eat something and sometimes feel slight nausea and I take a pill it dissolves in my mouth and usually i feel better within 15 minutes. On occasion I have had to lay down and take a nap. I have NEVER thrown up..
You should be able to tolerate sitting and doing homework just depends on pain and how much narcotic you are taking and how you are feeling. I would strongly advise you to take the first 7-10 days off and just heal. I took six weeks of from work and will be going back on Tuesday of the upcoming week but I work as a RN in a hospital and have to lift patients and work 12 hour shifts.
You will more then likely not be able to life anything over 10 pounds for the first 2 weeks if you have laproscopic surgery. Then they say slowly increase and by a month should be able to lift 30. Just be careful bc you don't want to bust anything open or get a hernia. So if your hubby can be around for first 14 days that would help you lots.
Every person has different experiences and every surgeon has different rules. I would strongly suggest running some of this by your surgeon so he can give you the best information for your program. Good Luck

Well I have taken my before pics. Not to confident yet to plop them on here, but when I'm losing I'll definitely have more confidence to post. Just over 2hrs40min to go till my admission.

I know what u mean. My incision under my left breast is killing me. So I have been putting ice on it. That helped me out

Hello to all of my March surgery buddies. I have been so inspired reading all of your posts. I have a little over a week left before my surgery (March 19th) and I am excited and extremely nervous at the same time. I have gotten used to my pre-op diet and I have lost another 5 lbs in the past week. I am grateful that my physician allows me to have more than just liquids during this time. I had some headaches for the first few days but I am getting better everyday. I really miss my morning cup of coffee though I have my pre-op appointment on Monday and I think that it may become even more "real" for me then. I can't wait to hear from some of our March buddies that have already had surgery. I pray for them everyday.

Hahahaha mine too, my husband keeps looking over at me every time and i just look at him like it's still my stomach lol

That was a tough day yesterday. I was I wicked pain all day but today I'm better. I'll post more when I have more energy. But I made it through
