So a few weeks ago I posted that I would be taking a business trip this week and was hoping that I had lost enough weight to no longer need the seat belt extender. I am happy to say that I DID NOT NEED IT! Not only that but there was 5-6 inches of belt left! I usually ask the flight attendant before finding my seat for the extender. I made the decision to not ask this time. I felt pretty sure that I might not need it but I was prepared to ask for it if I needed to. I sat down and easily put it on. I just sat there and cried. With tears rolling down my face, I called my husband to share my excitement with him. He just said over and over, "I am so proud of you.". I flew back this morning with such comfort. I used the tray in front of me for my beverage (couldn't do that before) and even crossed my legs for a while. I am floating on a cloud!

I'm getting banded Dec 3rd! Anyone else? And where? I'm so excited!

Thank you for update on muscle milk lite. Man horrible rumor!! I love that RTD and was thinking if i could enjoy something that good everyday things wouldnt be so bad, lol. Again, thank you .

I am getting banded dec 4 and live in west palm beach.

I live in South FL. I have a very busy life and would like a "partner" in getting back on track. I have researched revisions to a RNY as I never got to goal. I let my weight dictate my life and am missing out on it all. I am socially dropping out and am having a lot of physical pain. I weigh 208 today and carry it all in my middle, causing a lot of arthritic leg and foot pain. I am ready to attempt to embrace the band and restriction. I will call for a fill this week. I can eat everything now except for maybe a hamburger. My metabolism is a wreck and I have to take Nsaids for the pain. This is weight gain after getting an unfill at weight of 190 because I was just sick of the restriction and thought I would eat fruit! Well, I rarely eat fruit. I am a carb addict! I have a gym buddy who is very supportive but cant really relate to the band. I heard that 60% of banders are getting them removed or revised. Any encouragement is welcomed!

I am scheduled for December 4th as well in Greensboro NC. Excitedand nervous Doing pre op diet now.

Ladies, can't we all just get along?

My surgery is Dec 17th - I am told i have to do a 2 week pre op liquid diet too... I have also tried to prepare by adjusting my eating habits and making healthier choices. Some days i do ok, but some days i fail miserably... like last night... which really gets me down cos i know i'm just making harder on myself.

From what i hear these first few months are the hardest part. Hope we all do ok.

we have a nice dodge durango..but for the last year or so, it was hard for me drive it....i am short so i have to scoot my seat up to the steering wheel...and my belly/girth would not let me get near the steering wheel so i had to scoot the seat back and
then i couldnt reach the pedals...but i could drive it without the seat belt and so if i did drive it, it was to the walgreens near my house and it was not very often let me tell you.
so today, my car that i drive to work (didnt start as hub said we need a new battery)
so i had to drive the durango....i was nervous because i knew i could not wear the seat belt.
i got in *prepared for the worst* and scooted the seat up to where my feet would reach and pulled the seat belt and snapped that sucker in.. i felt like a normal person..instead of the usual fat lady.
so that is my little success...nothing major....but i drove to work in my truck with my seat belt on and it fit comfortably and not cutting off my circulation....another sign that i am going in the right direction.

I was supposed to be banded at the end of July but got denied by insurance, so started the whole process over again. I have my final appt on Oct. 10th I'm hoping to be a November bandster! Fingers crossed!!!

November 16th is my date!!! So nervous!! Can't wait though!!!

I'm scheduled for surgery 12/4. I started my preop diet on Tuesday. This afternoon I started the get the feeling that a sore throat was coming on. I just woke up in the middle of the night with a bad sore throat and a runny nose. I took a dose of zicam but what else can I do? My doctors office had me stop taking my Multivitamin to prepare for surgery. I won't be able to call my doctors office until Monday because of the holiday. Any advise is appreciated. I really don't want to have to reschedule my surgery!

I had my LB with a BMI of 30.
I stopped while I was ahead, didn't want these 50 lbs to turn into 100, 150, or 200 lbs to lose. Best decision of my life...
