  1. You bet crystal, anything I can do. Pre op, and post op. I stalked below the radar also. Information is power! And I was mostly looking for what not to do, rather than what to do. And what I will leave to with today, most important info, remember although everyone had good intentions, watch out for the doctor wanna bes that give out medical advise too freely. You have a real worry or problem, take it to your doc. Do that and you will do great!!!!!
  2. Sorry for what you went through, but thank you for writing the best post I have ever read on LBT!!
  3. Sorry the surgeries didn't work for you. But you kept trying and found a solution to good health. Way to go!
  4. Ok mads, lets go stir the pot at that site! Leslie, sorry for that awful experience. Dolphin, thanks for bringing this to light what is going on over there. And lastly, Jewels, you are a hoot. Hope the zit gets zapped soon!!
  5. I'd call the doc tomorrow. Good luck to you.
  6. Hi Kara, Hi Crysta, I got banded 12/17, one month today. Still very new so if you have questions the answers will be fresh in my mind. Congrats to both of you. You will like this site, it is so helpful, and for the most part the people are nice. Good luck to both of you. If I can ever help or just want to chat, I'm banjo257. : )
  7. My first fill is tomorrow also. Can't wait! Tomorrow is my one month bandiversary! Lost 10lbs since surgery. Not a lot, but ten a month for several months would be great.
  8. It will be over before you know it. Have a nice "nap" and wake to a new improved life!
  9. Congratulations on your weight loss.
  10. Congratulations Skinny Girl! You should be so proud of yourself.
  11. Easy your worries, you should be feeling that way right now. Move move move as best you can. By day 6 I felt really good.it is now wk 13, I feel normal.
  12. Congrats Future, that is a great compliment. and way to go on the weight loss. I am down 25lbs total, only 10 down since surgery. But it hasn't been a month yet so I am not getting bummed yet on slow loss. I think I am getting a fill on month appt. 1/17.
  13. Know that the first couple days you may feel not 100%. Mainly because your insides have been knocked around some. it is normal. Achy and tired are normal. Sip as much as you can. Remember sf popsicles count for sipping to. And you may have a sore throat from the tube. Normal. But it is sooooooooo worth a coupke days of just not yourself, because the next thing you know you feel better than your old self!!! My surgery was 12/17. I'm down 25lbs.
  14. For me its like the end of buying diapers, the $$$ gets sucked up somewhere and you never get a surplus.
  15. When you can, add to your profile so we have an idea who you are. First question, do you pronounce your name like julie roberts in steel magnolias?? Love that name.
  16. Hi, So how are you doing so far five days post op? You ask, plenty of people will jump to help you. Just if something serious was to occur, please only ask and listen to your surgeon. One thing yoy will learn is few of the surgeon do things the same way.
  17. Keep it quiet until you are ready. And maybe, that may be never. Just be careful not to get caught in a lie. Do like chez said, everything true, so no trouble later. Good luck!!
  18. Hope you don't have to go through that again. My first fill is the 17th. Hoping for a doc with good aim!
  19. And of course, GO IRISH!!

  21. I am 5 wks out, no fill. I could eat and eat if I didn't stop myself. I have counted on greek yogurt and protein shakes to fill me up. 700 to 1000 cals a day.
  22. Yogurt, cheese sticks, rolled turkey slices.
  23. Bcbs took care of me. I hope they do the same for you! Good luck
