  1. I eat Special K Protein almost every morning. I add a little to some Greek yogurt and a scoop of unflavored protein. I do need to add a splash of almond milk to thin it out a little. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  2. Just an idea. I started to add a scoop of unflavored Protein powder and a little bit of Special K Protein Cereal to my Greek yogurt in the morning. Boosts up my calories and protein and keeps me fuller longer. I do have to add a splash of almond milk to thin it out a little. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  3. I am right by Cherry Hill. Don't think we are going to get much here. Would be nice to have a two hour delay tomorrow though! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

  7. I had my lap band surgery three months ago on November 6th. As of this morning I have lost 30 pounds since surgery and an additional 15 pounds from my pre-op diet. That is a total of 45 pounds! I have gone down two pants sizes and feel great! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  8. Last weekend my husband and I ordered take out. We split the steamed chicken an vegetables. I used to order the sesame chicken so we asked for some of the sauce on the side. Like you, I had a craving and that satisfied it for me. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

  14. I think you really need to ask yourself if it is really worth it. To me, it wouldn't be. To you it may be. I would think you would be sticking it to them more by taking a day on another day. Try thinking about what is best for you and your family, not what is best for your class. Is fighting with your principal really worth it, especially since she said no days off for professional days in September? Just my humble opinion... Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  15. I am a teacher as well and understand your struggle. I think it is best to try to schedule appointments on professional development days so your absence doesn't impact your students. But to be honest, if I was in your situation I would reschedule the appointment for another day. I you are out, they have to find someone to cover your classes, right? I would not go against the principal in this case. I am curious though if you are a part of a union....if so, what do they say? Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  16. I ordered Calcium chews online and they really curb my sweet tooth. Bariatric Advantage is the maker and they are sold on amazon. I really like the caramel but they also come in lemon, chocolate, and raspberry. Good luck!! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

  19. The scale that past two morning has read 198.6 lbs!! I am under 200 lbs and hit my January goal!! I have lost 42.7 lbs since I started my pre-op diet the end of October and had surgery on November 6th....I haven't been this happy with myself in years!!! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

  21. Just found this link on the Internet....thought some people might be interested. Panera has a hidden menu that is low carb and high Protein. Probably not the right portion size for some banded but still a great option when going there! http://mypanera.panerabread.com/articlestips/article/access-into-paneras-hidden-menu/#
  22. I was on Topamax for my migraines and I did loose some weight, not a lot. My problem was the loss of feeling in my fingers and toes. How long have you been on it? Do you really feel like taking it for the rest of your life is an option? Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  23. I have used unjury and Body fortress. Both were good but Body Fortress is a lot cheaper. You can get it at Walmart. I found that the colder the shake is, the better it is. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
