  6. going to order some of this soon. i think i could get creative with it. I love all the unjury products.
  7. i second the above advice. you need to get some levels checked. and you shouldn't be throwing up like that. get into the doc asap. if you have to wait till monday maybe giving just liquids a try and some protein shakes to let you pouch rest some. Sending you positive healing thoughts and hope you get answers sooon
  8. do call, so you know if they have submitted it, or if they have heard back and if they are wanting more info.. sorta like the squeaky wheel gets the grease. you don't want your file to just be sitting somewhere.
  9. every insurance is different I am afraid, And we are at their mercy. Some have been approved in a matter of days some weeks, and some need to supply more information. There is just no way to know.. I am in the waiting, supplying more info stage. Waiting is so hard. Your insurance coordinator at your surgeons office might be able to give you a ball park figure if they are familiar with your insurance company. But nobody really knows for sure, Sorry if I sound a bit down about this. Trying to keep my chin up but it is hard when you want something so bad and it seems so out of our control. Wishing you the speediest approval ever
  10. wow that is a bunch, you are doing something right. way to go
  11. great news. you are already on the right track, hopefully the waiting won't be tooo long.
  12. yes we are here for you and will be your support. Some of your close family could be afraid for you, but your friends well don't know what to think about them. You will know who your true friends are if they stick by you through this. I hope there is a local support group you can go to and meet people in person going through this too. You will always get support and answers here. You are doing this for you. Welcome and wishing your the very best.
  13. you might also ask your Doc for the pill that treats yeast infections. I get them too with antibiotics and I ask for a script for the yeast med at the same time. don't wait till it is to out of control. and yes yogurt would be good too.
  14. awesome awesome and more awesome.
  15. welcome and congrats on all the steps you have taken so far, sounds like surgery will be real soon there is a wealth of support and information here so keep coming back. Happy for you.
  16. Had my first dream last night about being approved. Hope it is a good omen and that it will happen soon,
  17. since i have had a tooth problem and a pulling the last few weeks, I have been taking vanilla yogurt (either low carb or greek) and have added a tablespoon maybe a bit more of dry sugar free pudding mix and a scoop of unflavored protein powder and stirred it up real good. It would probably be even better blended in the magic bullet or something like that, but I have just been stirring it and eating it and it is like some kind of fancy desert to me. not tooo sweet and does two things, you are eating something and getting the protein in. I am pre op so I am hoping this will work post op. good luck another idea is to make the sugar free pudding with less skim milk add two scoops of protein powder and divide it into four servings and eat those in a day. I am just not sure how long the protein mixed in something is still "good"
  18. I think of all after post op that scares me is getting all the vitamins in. I have been trying pre op to take them everyday but I find that I forget somedays. That can't happen after surgery I know and the doses will be a lot higher and more so I am going to have to set up some great schedule to go by. I don't swallow very many pills now, most are chewable or I can open them and put them in liquid. After banding I had a few bad experiences with pills getting stuck so it is now habit to try to get chewable, or liquid or something I can open by habit.
  19. Oh my goodness you are so beautiful. And you look awesome. What a fantastic life change you have made. Wishing you the best and continued success. You need to come here often and share some of your secrets to such success,
  20. You both are going to have the greatest support system, each other, and us of course. Welcome and wishing you well.
  21. I think I would do what BB suggests and try something out at home and see how you do. I am not a drinker, just occasionally maybe a time or two a year and what i drank had to be sweet and taste good, and that for sure is a no no post op. so i like you would have to give something a try, Wine might be the safest, You don't want to get sick in vegas. I bet there will be a couple new outfits in your suitcase though. Have fun.
  22. that is so great. can't wait to see pics of your new partner.
  23. I am 57. I had a lap band placed at 49, and now waiting for insurance approval for revision to rny. Wish I had done the rny to begin with and I would have enjoyed these last seven years a whole lot more,
  24. congrats and sending you lots of healing thoughts and prayers and even a gentle hug. So glad you are feeling well enough to let us know how you feel, if that makes sense.
  25. that is awesome. great feeling i bet.
