Hi I Think I Fit In This Category. So I'm Told! Lol ! Are You Pre Or Post Surgery? Mare :-)

I am pre surgery, just waiting for the go ahead from the powers that be in the insurance world. How about you?

I'm 53, had my RNT on April 9th - best thing I ever done !!!!

Hello... I'm 50, but had my surgery 3 years ago. Best decision we (my husband had an RNY 20 days after me) ever made!! Healthier now than we've been for years before surgery.

Congratulations 50's people. As long as you feel good no matter the age you made the right decision.

I am also 53 and just starting.

I am 57. I had a lap band placed at 49, and now waiting for insurance approval for revision to rny. Wish I had done the rny to begin with and I would have enjoyed these last seven years a whole lot more,

Looks like you and I are the oldest in the groups. I am 56. Waiting for my pre op and surgery for the RNY.

Hoping I get a surgery date today, got insurance approval on Friday.

I have wasted a lot of years feeling bad, hoping I have a few good years left.

Here's another oldie to add to this bunch. I am 56 and have 2 more weeks of nutritional appointments before my paperwork can be submitted to Aetna. I am hoping for a late Nov surgery date.

I agree about wasting life, yep used to feel doomed. I am scared but i gotta shake it off. I know this is the best thing for me
