every insurance is different I am afraid, And we are at their mercy. Some have been approved in a matter of days some weeks, and some need to supply more information. There is just no way to know.. I am in the waiting, supplying more info stage. Waiting is so hard. Your insurance coordinator at your surgeons office might be able to give you a ball park figure if they are familiar with your insurance company. But nobody really knows for sure,

Sorry if I sound a bit down about this. Trying to keep my chin up but it is hard when you want something so bad and it seems so out of our control.

Wishing you the speediest approval ever

Mines took a week

It took a week for me after they put everything in. It ws another week for me to find out because I don't check my voicemail often.

I would call your insurance. I saw my surgeon on a Friday , they submitted my paperwork same day and found out on Monday that my insurance doesn't need pre approval for bariatric surgery, as long as I have met their guidelines . I have Champ VA. It's like Tricare.

I know how u feel I have jump through all the hoops now I want to get started with my new life. I am going to call tomorrow just to see

do call, so you know if they have submitted it, or if they have heard back and if they are wanting more info.. sorta like the squeaky wheel gets the grease. you don't want your file to just be sitting somewhere.

Yup that's what I plan to do first thing Monday morning. You are your own advocate and I am the type that will call 10 times a day every day to make sure things are getting done
