  6. Are you kidding me? You're one person! The good outweighs the risk by far. I'm sorry that you're having problems, but don't try to make the rest of us think it's all bad. All of my banded friends are doing great and love it!
  7. FINALLY got my date today! I'm just shy of a September bandster now. October 5th. Later than we expected, but getting it done, so that's what matters! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk

  14. @Michele, any updates?! @lilmickey, no one can say for sure for you. What is your BMI? In my experience and what I've heard, you shouldn't have a problem if you have a BMI of at least 35 with comorbids or 40 with no comorbids needed and your doctor/hospital is in network. The quickness will rely on your doctor's office. I'd talk to them about it and see if they can speed it up.
  15. Thanks guys! =) Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  16. How many of you had a catheter during surgery? After having one when I had my daughter and all the problems it caused me, I'm extremely scared of them. I'm using Dr. Reilly in Houston, Texas, by the way, so if anyone knows if he does, that'd be cool. Lol. Either way I'll be asking him when I see him, but just wondering about others. 19. I don't have a date yet. True Results wanted me to go ahead and start it. I'll know more on Tuesday. But I'm using Dr. Reilly in Houston, Texas.
  20. Thanks guys! I didn't get out today because it started POURING rain and flooding a bit! No thanks! We stayed in. Haha. Astros game with the boyfriend's family tomorrow then we're gonna go buy a scale. I'll let ya'll know which one!
  21. How much did you lose on the Pre Op Diet? How much did you exercise? I'm just worried that I won't lose the required weight (10lbs) I'm definitely following the diet (2 shakes, then one meal of 6oz lean meat and 2 cups veggies) but I'm not able to get much exercise other than chasing my almost 3 year old because of my knees!
  22. So, long story short, as of earlier this year I no longer own a scale. Now I'm about to go buy one. Problem is, I've always weighed something different on every one, my mom's, dad's, mine, doctor's. I'd like one that's pretty accurate and in line with at least my doctor's scale. Any suggestions? Lol, thanks guys! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  23. Well, I was very nice, but I may of yelled in her ear a bit! Haha. Oops. =P Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  24. Oh, and a lady by the name of Tammy probably thinks I'm crazy when I told her I loved her. LOL. (lady that works at BCBS IL) Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  25. Thank you so much! And I figured it out - She told me 15,000 because it's 5 per person and we have 3 on our plan. That's why I questioned it. Either way, when I was younger, I never imagined that these would be the things I'd get reeeeally excited about at 23. I don't care if there's only a few months of the year left, my lapband is getting paid for by insurance 100%! Woop Woop! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
