  1. Late dumping is from the sugars changing drastically and very quickly. But actual dumping is from our bodies not processing the sugars correctly and it DUMPS into our intestines too quickly. Which is where the name dumping comes from.
  2. Dumping also passes pretty quickly. If you're still feeling bad today I'm thinking its because of the alcohol dehydration. Drink plenty of water today. More than usual.
  3. I'm thinking it is because f the dehydration alcohol causes more than it being dumping. From my experience dumping is pretty sudden and almost as soon as I ingest the sugar and it hits my tummy.
  4. When my period was late I figured it was because of the drastic surgery. And when I was nauseated I related it to surgery as well. But one day I thought to myself, lets just take a test to MAKE SURE. And sure enough there was a plus sign. I was told in the beginning that my baby only had a 20% change of living after the removal of my IUD. But here I am 27 weeks later and she's alive and well Kicking me at the moment actually lol
  5. I had my IUD in for 9 months and ended up getting pregnant. The doctor said that it is most likely because when I initially began to lose weight my hormones must have just been lined up perfectly to create a baby. I have heard it happens often post WLS. But I never thought it would happen 2 Wks post WLS lol!
  6. The baby is doing great despite the fact that this baby was unplanned (had and IUD and still got pregnant) we are so very excited. She moves around all the time. Especially when she hears both of her big sisters running around and playing. I have an ultrasound almost every time I have an appointment. I'm thinking its so y OB can keep making sure everything is ok. Fr the first 4 months I was on zofran every 4 hrs because of nausea and vomitting. It's been hard to tell if that is because of pregnancy or surgery but I'm sure it's been a mixture of both. I have not needed zofran for a while now and have been feeling great . I will admit that I have been selfish this past month and had a hard time coping with the fact that I have not lost a pound in a month. But I know that everything will be ok and the baby needs any lb my body wants to hold onto right now.
  7. Yes! I have nursed my other two children and its the best thing ever to help lose some weight post baby. I'm so ready to get her here
  8. I am 29 Wks post op and 27 Wks pregnant. This baby wasn't planned. I had an IUD in and still became pregnant. We are ecstatic despite the circumstances. I have went from 330 lbs to 220 lbs since surgery even though I am pregnant. And my OB says this is perfectly fine. My baby is healthy and growing beautifully inside my womb. I am however worried about losing the 70 more lbs I want to lose after the baby.
  9. I am 24. I am 29 Wks post op and I am 27 Wks preg. I had an IUD in and still got pregnant so this baby was not in the plan for now. We are ecstatic though. She is a healthy baby girl. We have had no problems even though I was only 2 Wks post op when I got pregnant. Although we have had great luck I will always recommend waiting two years after surgery. I started at 330 lbs and I am now 220 lbs and this has been the best pregnancy I have ever experienced. It's my third. Although I am still over weight, losing the weight has kept me comfortable when before this wasn't possible at 330 lbs.
  10. Feeling great wondering if anyone out there has been through surgery and then pregnancy soon after?? I'm wondering how the weightloss was after surgery.
  11. I am so sorry this happened to you! I am 7 mos out and still get nervous when we dine out. It will get easier. I definitely can relate to those words "we're running late" being fatal. Anytime my husband says those words I slowly look up and glare and he quickly says "oh yea sorry babe I forgot". I absolutely cannot eat too fast or I will be sick as a dog.
  12. Victoria,Tx Surgery Date 8-02-12 weight: 330 present weight: 220
  13. I had surgery in Aug and I live in South Tx. It's 80 degrees here this time of year and I am STILL FREEZING. I am so cold it's painful. My legs ache and I'm just plain icy lol. Doesn't matter how many clothes I have on. And I feel bad because my daughter sweats all night so I have to make sure I don't let it get above 72-73 at night. Surgery Date 8-02-12 weight: 330 present weight: 220

  18. . Surgery Date 8-02-12 weight: 330 present weight: 220
  19. I had this same thing happen to me. I figured I was spotting and my periods were late because of surgery and the stress on my body. But I am now 5 mos pregnant..... So I guess my problems were for a different reason lol Surgery Date 8-02-12 weight: 330 present weight: 220
  20. Good luck when you DO try it. I'm 6 mos out and EVERYTIME I try to eat tuna I vomit for almost 2 hours. Mostly dry heaves. And I LOVED tuna before surgery. But for some reason I just can't tolerate it now Surgery Date 8-02-12 weight: 330 present weight: 220
  21. I tried it again today.... And got sick and threw up AGAIN!!! :'(. I miss my tuna!!!!
  22. Sleeved Aug 2. Before: 330 Lbs Day of Surgery: 300 lbs Today: 223 lbs I will post before and after pics tomorrow BUT I am also 4 mos pregnant so I will have a baby belly lol. Wasn't planned. I had a paraguard IUD in and my husband and I still ended up pregnant with our 3rd baby girl a blessing Ofcourse!
  23. This will change. You will not have buyers remorse forever.
  24. Let me know how this goes. I was sleeved Aug 2, 2012. I had an IUD in to prevent pregnancy and my husband and I somehow ended up pregnant with our 3rd child anyway lol... And only a month post op. I am afraid this is going to sabotage my weightloss. I have still lost over 100 lbs since my surgery but I am afraid of gaining any back because I still have about 60 more that I want to lose
