  8. I was on full liquids the day I came home. Surgery was Aug 2. I'm suppose to start soft foods on the 15th. I've had protein shakes, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, tomato soup, French onion soup (broth only), water, crystal light, apple juice, unsweetened tea, and I've had no problems so far. I too am so ready for a scrambled egg haha!! I've even had half of a string cheese. I just chewed it til it was like a liquid in my mouth.
  9. I have the para guard copper IUD. And my only complaint is that I had to have a new one put in yesterday because my first one had become embedded into y cervix after falling from my uterus after 8 mos. If TMI sorry. But other than that I've had no complications.
  10. Sounds like the slimes. Walk around to help the food go down. And take deep slow breaths

  15. I am 7 days post op today and feel the exact same way. My husband has been off this week with me but ows back on nights tomorrow night. We have a 2 yr old and a 9 mo old so my hands are full. I'm extremely nervous about him going back to work. I hope we all start feeling better soon!
  16. I am so glad I found this app! Thank u all for the replies. I am so glad I'm not alone in this.
  17. I JUST posted something similar to this. I have been crying all day. I am severely depressed right now. I'm 6 days post.
  18. I am really having a hard time emotionally tonight. I keep crying and crying. I am 6 days post op and it's like I am a drug addict going through a rehab detox. I can't believe I let myself become so emotionally addicted to food. I can't believe I am actually crying because I want to eat. This is ridiculous. I wish I could fast forward a couple months and get through this hard part and know that everything is gonna be alright. I miss chewing food. I miss the taste. I miss the comfort of eating in front of the tv with my family. I miss macaroni and cheese, I miss sausage, I miss spaghetti, I miss everything I use to love about food. And thou I may feel pathetic now, I know somewhere in my new future I will have better things to love about life. But right now my vision is being blurred and my comfort zone is no where to be found. I'm just hurting. :'(
  19. YES!! The first two days were the WORST for me. I am 5 days post op now and have no problems getting the fluids down except that I have a habit of swallowing air along with them. So yes, it gets easier. The more you drink and walk the easier it is. Congrats!!
  20. I don't know if maybe I have a habit of swallowing air or if I still have gas post surgery but EVERYTIME I take a sip, I have this nausea and then I belch. Is this normal? After I belch the nausea usually goes away. But sometimes it lingers. It's like I feel everything go down and fall into my stomach and it's uncomfortable.
  21. I'm sorry I should been more specific! I've lost 40 since I started my pre op diet. I have lost 21 since my surgery last Thursday.
  22. I am 5 days post op and Having a hard time with the mental aspect of the fact that I will never be able to eat "normal" again. I have lost over 40 lbs since the beginning of my surgery and am ecstatic. I am so glad! Although I know that eventually I will be able to eat solid foods again, it's bothering me that I cannot cook a meal and sit down to eat it with my family right now. I guess I just need to get use to the new "normal". And this goes to show that I WAS addicted to food emotionally and it's a good thing I did this. Also, I'm sure this is head hunger I am feeling, but I feel so hungry in the evening. And when I take a couple small bites of jello or something to that nature I feel extremely full. Any thoughts are appreciated.
