Hely88 I quit back in June for my surgery in November I have tried so many times before. I've tried cold turkey, gums, and Patches all with NO prevail. But this time I tried chantix and a New Banded Me. Hopefully this will work and since June I haven't wanted a smoke and that is with lots of stress in between this journey and a smoking husband. But it's all worth it just one day at a time.

Keep up the weight loss and you will die with less weighing body parts. As for that husband well just doesn't matter what he likes ... it's what you like and I promise you you are going to love that new skinny healthy lady lots more then the old fat sick one.
Been thinking about your Thanksgiving dilema do you think Mr Trip won't just tell everyone why you aren't eating.. Just think of the dinner conversation if you said I am so thankful for the fact that I am on my way to being the new beautiful skinney a$$ me and next year I'm coming to dinner wearing a leather mini skirt with a see through blouse...oh what fun to mess with their minds and keep old Mr. Trip on his toes. You have a good one...

My husband is a true trip ..... I keep riding after 20+ years lol what can I say. He did ask me what im i going to do if he doesnt like my weight loss. I asked him what if i like the weight loss and the new ME!! ofcourse NO reply back but at the end of all this what matters to me is my health as long as I die with ALL my body parts. LoL. As of today my sugar levels have gotten better. Thanks for all of your support. My post op orders (phase 0) are to drink Water, tea, ( no sugar or milk) and low calorie drinks till Monday then add Protein Shakes phase 1. I'm doing ok with my intake I think just this headache I'm getting now but once I drink or easies up.

Well there is always the truth... Did you have a plan going into this? If you just can't do that right now then just whatever works for you..
I am a little concerned with your food intake now get in some Protein Drinks . But Whatever you do DO NOT EAT on those new stitches on the inside. I think we look at what we can see and think we are not stitched much but on the inside we are and really stitched the band is held in place.
Your husband sounds like a trip........ But thats what you will have to deal with some people get tons of support some not so much. This is your journey and while it would be nice to have everyone invested in it. people are people with their own agendas and what you need to remember is this is yours. Come here for support and honest opinions we have all been down this road and have different experiences and we have your back.................

It's official I am in the Post-Op stage got my band today. Not much pain at all right now just sleepy. Lol I keep checking in N out on the family. No shoulder pain or much gas coming out of either end yet but the lil that does come out from the top is loud. I won't see my Dr

What liquid diet you talking about is it before surgery.?

I go in tomorrow for my band and I haven't had a full nite sleep since last Friday.

Girls girls just take it one day at a time and be good to urself. I'm starting my liquid diet tomorrow in preparation of my 11/14 band date. And i have lost 10 lbs and have gained 5 lbs so now i have to work harder. Plus my insurance has NO weight loss mandatory . U girls r right there. So slow and steady

My band date is on the 14th. I will have to start my liquids on the 1st yeah me

Today I had a marathon of Md appts I seen my pcp need to make a few more visits with him before he will clear me, had my echo, and echo stress test. As of today I am cardiac cleared for my LB in November im almost there just 2 months away I can't wait ;-}

nice to meet Julissa I am so happy that you decided to restart the journey I know it can be frustating but the healthier you are the better for you and your lil' ladies. I am so excited for you God Bless you and Good Luck

My name is Julissa, I'm a 39 type2 uncontrolled diabetic, wife and mother of 2 girl. I had looked into have WLS 2 years ago, when I was only on diabetic pills and then missed one Dr appt and I didn't want to start the 6 month process again so i stop going???’. Today I'm still on diabetic pills and insuli. now I have new insurance and only have a 4 month process and in half way there. So with all that I should be looking at a late September October surgical date. ???ƒ
