  1. I kind of 2nd Terry on the Advil thing. Advil is my miracle go-to drug too (oh my god, right now with the hip pain I keep telling Russ I feel like a druggie-I want to smuggle an Advil SO BAD.. Tylenol doesn't work, doc gave me lortab but they didn't do anything either; so not taking them) I Just need an Advil. I know Advil helps and it's muscle pains I have. Can't have it while pregnant ANYWAY.. Since we're not suppose to have Advil, I went without for the most part, but between the time when I lost enough weight for my back to stop hurting, I did take Advil in extreme cases. Once I took it without washing it down, I woke up all night foaming and it was like battery acid!!!! That was disgusting, came up my nose and everything. Since that time, if I take the Advil small tabs (not liquid gels) and drink an entire bottle of water with it.. they do flush down. Make sure it's on an empty stomach to start so it flushes it through. Sometimes I'd eat something just to make sure. I never had a problem when I did it this way. I do also keep liquid versions of all my drugs just in case (say I'm having a real tight day and don't want to risk it). I need to clean my house, but everytime I get up to do it, I hurt too much to stand for more than a couple minutes. I keep looking for a house cleaner, but there's something that bothers me about all of them. The last one, her flyer says 'GUARANTEED TO BEAT ALL ESTIMATES'. So I showed her, she's $10 more expensive than my last estimate, and she just said she can't beat that-without hesitating. Now, I don't mind, in fact paying $10 more wouldn't have bothered me.. what bothers me now, is that the big thing she advertises and the header of her flyer--- isn't true!! It's completely the principle, it bothers me that it's a lie. So now I don't like her. Russ won't clean, so he keeps bugging me to get the cleaner since he knows I can't clean. I wish I was a lesbian times like these, a woman partner wouldn't let our house get dirty when I'm out of commission :cool2: So since I am pretty bed ridden today, I rented a couple movies from Amazon unbox. Watching Vikki Cristina Barcelona right now.. kind of a weird movie.. and I am going to watch Changling next--looks sad.
  2. First symptom was the super tightness for me too. They took out a small amount and for most of the pregnancy it has been too loose, and a few days of too tight. In the past couple weeks I feel unbanded (which scares me). I wrote my band doc & his nurse and asked if I should have a fluero scheduled for when I come in May to refill.. I am praying the baby is just squishing my stomach so its making things go down easier (if you look at a pregnant belly inside diagram you'll see what I'm talking about).. and not a slip. Please no slip The nurse said she's going to talk with the doc and get back to me. Unfortunately I am my band doc's first pregnant bander, and my obgyn's first banded pregnant woman. So I don't have someone who can advise me with what to expect..
  3. If you need a fill, get a fill. I had a little bit taken out for pg only because I got really tight. I wish I didn't have to now!
  4. LJM just had a baby and she had a TT last year. I myself plan to wait till after having kids (plan to have 2 total) before looking into getting a TT. I don't know how it would have been different, but my pannis has deflated and now that I am pregnant it dangles from the pregnant belly. It's not a big deal! I think it affects the 'cute pregnant belly' thing, but I don't care. I have not developed any stretch marks, and I attribute that to all the loose skin I had. I am 34 weeks along, so I'm almost to the finish line. I had gone from 330lb to 212lb when I got pregnant.
  5. Suzie- I don't have an ass :/ One of my exes contacted me yesterday out of the blue! That's always weird. I just got up, the glue trap in the bottom of the pantry is gone.. but the other 2 traps are there and the towel was still up against the crevice of the door. I'm afraid to find out.. Russ is asleep, so he either got rid of it, or he's caught on the trap and dragged it somewhere within the food (ugh!!!). I have to say though, I'm not impressed with our non-glue traps. Both times we've set multiples of the snap traps that are in little black house things, and 1 glue trap and it looks like both times the glue trap won. On the other hand, the glue trap thing grosses me out. Horse shows are fun Michelle!! Russ parents do them all year long, only 1 comes near us, so we normally go to it. This year they had to cancel it due to his dad's surgery, so I didn't get my yearly horseshow I love hanging out at the barns and watching (emphasize watching) them do all the meticulous work to get them ready. I have a new favorite yummy. Due to the mouse incident, Russ found one of my Wild Strawberry jello packets I bought a while back (and forgot about because it fell behind stuff on the floor). I decided to make individual servings, with frozen strawberries in the bottom. Due to the hip pain I didn't feel like draining them first--which instructions say to do. So I just scooped frozen strawberries into bottom of ramkins, poured jello on top.. then eat it with whip cream on top. They are soooo good. I think this brand of frozen strawberries I have is the best I've ever bought (publix brand!). Going to go have one for breakfast..
  6. Went to Red Lobster for lunch with my mom & granny.. then we went to ToysRUs and mom bought a fancy Playard for her house for when Carson visits. Here is my 34 week belly. I've officially popped out lol. I remember Wheet mentioned this & it's true.. the flabby pannis at the bottom, just dangles from the pregnant belly.. when I walk around without pants on, you can actually hear it smacking into me. How sexy is that?!
  7. 3 traps out, tryin to kill him.. not working yet. I agree though, he was super cute. If he was in a cage with a spinny wheel it'd be ok... in my pantry eating pretzels--NOT OK. Made spaghetti squash again tonight, mixed it with butter & mozzerella.. tis good. Carson is moving a lot under my skin this evening, maybe rolling? I just feel like what is maybe a butt up against the top of my belly, then some kicks and shifting, repeat. I've been talking to him and singing his name.. hehe. Ya'll won't believe this but we're going to Tunica next weekend!! We don't have money to play right now, but we're going to go and hang out in the room, room service, and movies.. all the free comp stuff while my dad plays. My last vacation (for real this time). I also got a promotional flyer in the mail, a VIP Shopping spree.. it said 700 credits, I don't know how much that is.. but I'll be sure to get my 700 credits worth of shopping in while we're relaxing! Going to take a pain med and hit the hay.. this crick in my right hip has not gone away today, it sucks so bad..I was really hoping to get some cleaning done tonight. Argh.
  8. I go in the pantry to start dinner... and there's a MOUSE staring at me. :scared2::crying::crying::heart:
  9. That paper made me laugh, not sure the premise of it. Reminds me of (this is a true story!!!) in 8th grade we had to do a project on something in biology. We got to pick what we wanted to do. In my google attempts, I came across a 'fake' biology thing. It was like made-up sea creatures (blatently fake, with googley eyes and all). Anyway, on presentation day, some girl actually used that--thinking it was real. The teacher wasn't paying close attention, she said something like "I've never heard of that.." but gave the girl a good grade. Neither of them realized it was some joke website.. Just got back from O'charley's.. Russ & I both got Salmon, they gave him a tiny dinky piece, so I cut mine in half and gave him half of mine.. then I went to eat mine and it was RAW in the middle. Grossed me out quite a bit, sent it back and he and my friend were done eating before they brought me back out one. But the one they brought me (prepared by manager after us having the 2 complaints), was the best salmon I've had there in a LONG time. Heh! They ended up only charging us $12 for both of our meals (Normally $14.99 each + drink). That was the good part, but I'm going to have a hard time ordering salmon again from them. TGIF gave me the raw shrimp once, so I no longer can order their shrimp stuff.. Chili's undercooked Tilapia once so I can't get their Tilapia anymore (which I really loved).. everyone keeps ruining my fav foods. Seafood is one thing I just can't do raw, even the thought of it raw just UGH, and I have a hard time ordering it again. I definitely need a nap, I vote Nap Michelle!!!
  10. Oh here's another funny, especially for you teachers
  11. I have a conference call at 10 with my millionth irrational customer today (this week has been so weird!!!!). I am so tired of them and their demands. I guess everyone is in bad moods from the economy and think they can just make irrational demands from their vendors and we're suppose to pull a magic wand out of our ass and make the impossible-possible. I have been dreading this, I even had a dream about it.. the lady(I am nice by using this word) came down to the plant and she was actually nice in my dream.. I guess my body was trying to make me feel better. My right hip is hurting so bad today, feels like a crick in it. I hate going to bed at night now, it makes my back hurt so bad when I wake up. I am having to limp again and it took me 5 minutes to get from my car to my office!! Here's a funny.. Dog Sleep-Runs into a Wall is Today's BIG Thing - MAR 03, 2009
  12. Happy Birthday Jen!!! (Go get a fill!)
  13. I am the same way, if the TV isn't on I will never sleep because of all the thoughts in my head. But it can't be too loud and I'm very picky; infomercials wake me up, scary/thriller/suspense music wakes me up; someone getting too excited (which goes back to infomercials) wakes me up. I have to have it on a comedy or a judge show, very quiet. Russell says he can't sleep with the tv on, it makes him think--funny how different our brains work!!! He likes falling asleep to music; but if we listen to music, if I know the song I end up singing along (in my head at least) and then not falling asleep. Hope ya'll make it a good Thursday!
  14. I don't care about porn myself, but I think your underlying point is applicable for anything (and that's where I definitely agree with you). If you TOLD him it bothered you;and he ignored it... that's wrong (despite my views on porn in general). If he snuck around, which is lying to you, that is very wrong. You are right, trust is so important in a relationship.
  15. I just had to share with V aunties!! I noticed last week, Carson has a thing for American Idol. I feel his kicks regularly in the same spot-same strength.. when I watch American Idol he is all over the place and doing HARD kicks and movements. Only when they're singing--when the judges are talking he does soft movements. I listen to music everyday at work, so it isn't just a music thing. I just started American Idol for this week, the first 2 singers he is going nuts!! Kicking so hard and holding it out for a while so I could actually grab his leg LOL. I think this is so bizarre (and cool). My mom said I should keep some on Tivo so when he's born we can play American Idol for him. How neat is that??
  16. :mad2: :wink2: :w00t: Tracy, we'll so miss you!!!! What does one TRILLION dollars look like? (For those who can't conceive what a trillion dollars is)
  17. Haydee- welcome to my world, the past few days have been SO WEIRD at work. It's like full moon for the industry. Just one of the weird stories, we sent out "Recession Buster" pricing.. we are offering good discounts on common items, in exchange for a longer turn time. Trying to help people out. Instead of a 'Thanks, that's really helpful".. all responses I have gotten, are asking for something more.. "Can we get free shipping?" "Can I get X price at a lower quantity?" "Can I use special paper at this price and call it Depression Buster?". No to Twitter, some reason I think it's stupid.. but I guess I think Facebook minute-by-minute updates are stupid too (even though I do them and read others!). Something about someone having live feed of my minute by minute life is weird (Twitter).
  18. My baby's not shy, he's well endowed!! The lady said his 'turtle' picture was a great shot and was going to hang it on her bulletin board for a good example of 'what to look for'. My back pains are horrible and dibilitating, but luckily it only hit me for a few weeks early on, and then it started again about 3 weeks ago. So if they don't go away between now & delivery, at least it was only a couple months of the pregnancy. I went to the chiro today, he said my pelvis is off kilter by 2" and my tailbone is curving to the side to compensate. He is going to adjust me between now & then, hopefully that will help a bit. I hope it's not too bad during delivery. Right now as it is, there's no way I could lay on my back with legs up. When you find out the sex, you'll have to let us know Ej!
  19. I know you already are done & saw how it ended up but in case someone else finds this thread looking for info :mad2: I bled horribly and non-stop if I didn't take b/c..so I was off b/c a month pre-op and it was nasty, I couldn't go 1 minute without a pad.. so when I was in the pre-op room and they told me to take everything off, I told the nurse and she said don't worry about it.. they doped me up and I woke up with one of those massive diaper pads taped to me and a bunch of towels. They handled it! And, when I woke up I didn't care. I just put on a normal pad when I was able to put underwear on.
  20. aww, are you going to try to make it next year Suzie?! I wear XL t-shirts right now, but by June I may be back in moomoos!!!!! I went to Cato's the other day to try to find some longer maternity shirts (don't exist damn it), and they don't carry Maternity in store.. so I just bought 22/24 shirts.. they're big and blousy on me. More frumpy.. but at least it covers up the stupid panel on my pants.
  21. Haydee- that would be hard, we were planning (originally) to do a wedding outside at our botanical gardens, and this was like 8 months in advance I was stressing about 'if it rains...', I really thought planning an outdoor wedding was a bad idea, especially in the south! They had last minute plans to move it indoor if we had to, but I really didn't like that option and we were just crossing out fingers. I've told you before, I don't know how you deal with brides.. yuck!!!!
  22. Woohoo @ under 200 Tracy, and glad you're all alright! Happy Birthday Denise!!! And Terry, your son may be gaining weight because.. he's getting older :mad2: I have noticed men eat like pigs, and their metabolism takes a drop in the late teens/early 20's. (From all the guys I've been friends with-and Russ!) Just got back from the chiro. He said my right leg is 2" off (shorter than left) which is how it's always been, not 2" but it's always been off. And he said my tail bone is curving to the left. So he did some adjustments--which he does in a pit kind of thing, other patients wait in chairs around the table and he talks and blah blah with everyone. He had to let out the middle for my belly, so my belly is hanging out, my pants rolled down and with every pop I'm jiggling lol.. I looked a mess. I did feel slightly better. Not all better, but I'd say 10% better-which is SOMETHING. He said my neck & shoulders were knotted and asked if they hurt--I said no. He tried to do some adjustments on it, but they wouldn't pop/budge so it ended up hurting and he said "I guess I should have just listened to you!" heh. I remember that too, chiro's always think something is wrong with my neck & shoulders. I go back again tomorrow. Hopefully he can get my pelvis lined up again. I got a month to get it done!

I wonder if it is like 'cutters', or some other disorder where it's not that you enjoy it, it's that you think that's what you deserve (to eat ice cream that you no longer even enjoy, just cause it'll keep you from your goal).. or just mindless eating. Or blah blah blah. You understand the problem, now get it out of the house. If Macy or Frank want some, have them hide cookies, or get a single cone when they're out so they don't tempt you. You can do it girl!!!!!! I know you can. Out of sight, out of mind.
  24. YAY Michelle!! I am so jealous, I wish I could go tomorrow for a fill. I e-mailed my band doc, his doc assist, and his nurse.. and explained my worries about the chest pains & loss of restriction, etc. to see if they have any thoughts on it--should I get fluero when I come for a fill in May, etc. Waiting to hear back, I hate that I have a feeling they will say come in before that; but with my back hurting, there's no way in hell I'm riding in a car for 6 hours. I just can't do it. Because of this, I wasn't going to mention anything to them till the time came (who knows, it all may go back to normal by then)--but Russell was lecturing me at lunch yesterday, and I know if something were to happen and I didn't contact them, it'd turn into an "I told you so" thing. Oby called me back, by time she did, I already made an appt. with my old chiro (back from high school)-my mom said when she went to him he mentioned he was doing adjustments for his wife during her pregnancy, so I thought I'd ask.. the lady I talked to explained he actually does a lot of pregnant women, and told me the benefits of it in general (easier deliveries, etc.) she gave me warm fuzzies, so I am going there tomorrow morning first thing!! When oby called, she said (was the nurse) they don't really have anyone they recommend, that they could try the Spine Care center.. so I told her I made an appt. and if that doesn't work out, I'll have them call me into the Spine Care center. They called me in a bottle of Lortab though and she told me to take it sparingly only when I really need it--I know when this time is, after I've slept some, I am at that desperate place I use to be in when I had bad back problems and am willing to cut my legs off with a knife.. only this time it's my hips.
  25. Sounds like ya'll are describing the Sandals resort we went to. They shuttle you to the Beaches resorts, everything is all inclusive, the drivers give you a heart attack, etc. Must be the Mexican version of Sandals! Another turmoily day at work  I called my obgyn at 8am and left a message with the nurse asking if they have a preggo chiro they can recommend..still haven't called me back, I hate hate hate doc offices that do voicemail instead of answering the damn phone.
