I too am in reset mode. I am 18months out and never hit goal. About 40 lbs away. I want so badly to remove some of this extra skin but I know that the docs won't consider me until I'm closer to my goal weight. I too am a grazer (and I enjoy some wine too much on occasion). I will share that I restarted based on some of the things I have read on the threads - currently doing the 5 Day Pouch Test to reset my tool. I'm in day two - and even lost 2.6 lbs on my first day!!! We can do this ... We have each other!!
PS - Paris is awesome so that June trip is going to be great!! I adore France!

I think this information should "scare" newbies a little bit. I don't say this to paint a picture of despair, as that is simply not the case. I say all this to paint a realistic picture.
According to my surgeon, I have lost 100% of my excess. That is better than typical for someone who started at such a high weight. Maintaining that, makes sense, is a big challenge for me. I spent most of my life obese or overweight so no wonder maintaining a "normal" size/weight is a challenge - but I have been doing just that for 2 years so far - a feat i have never managed before in my life.
One of the smartest things my surgeon ever told me was that years 2, 3 and on to infinity are nearly as important as year "1". I am finding there to be much truth in that and i am not sure most people are forewarned. I mean, it is one thing to say "lifestyle change" and it is quite another to turn that into daily decisions to maintain a huge weight loss.

Bayougirlsc, I have always wanted a flat tummy, after working so hard to lose the weight it was my reward. I had also had many surgeries in the past so I really wasn't worried about complications, I guess should have. As you can see I did have a lot of overhanging skin that I have always hated. My husband couldn't figure out why I wanted this so badly, he thought I should have had my arm or breasts done, it anything, he was just so happy that the weight was off. The first time we saw the results I cried, he said, he got it a that moment why I wanted the Tummy Tuck. Still love the results.

Queen I had much worse skin and so it was very worth it but reconstructive plastics is no freaking joke. I planned it for mid October so I wouldn't lose a riding season. The pain was not the issue and I had no complications but recovery was slow, I was hunched over for weeks and yea, it was hard.
No one can decide for you, but the way you describe it...probably not worth it.
For me, I'd do it again but glad I don't need to.

How did you approach getting your plastic surgery approved? What issues did you document, etc? What ins. do you have. I know this is something I will eventually need and figured Mexico was my only option even though my ins co did approve the sleeve without too much fuss. My ins is Fed Blue Cross Blue /Shield. I need to start building my case for future plastics.

    I need a reset too!!!
I was sleeved 04/03/2012...not one complication and loved it! It's the best thing I've ever did for myself. I do tell my friends that it's the easiest but also the hardest thing...Easy because the weight just fell off but hard because it's always a mental game. Ahhh but I digress...
My lowest recorded weight was 159lbs...although I think my lowest was at 148lbs (after gall bladder surgery). I am now at 182lbs. GRR...I'm so disappointed in myself BUT I know that I can do it. I want this 20lbs off and I will get it off. I've been planning my meals and starting trying to get in my Water (emphasis on trying) and I start bikram yoga this weekend.
    160..you're calling my name!

I am 16 months out. I never made goal I still need to lose 40 pounds . My lowest weight was 173 in August. I had gained weight and was at 187 at my dr. Visit last week. Needless to say my surgeon challenged me to lose 10 pounds in two months. Told him I thouj my sleeve was broken. Turns out I have been grazing. I kept saying few snack won't hurt me. They have killed me and Im so mad at myself. I'm going to Paris in June and want to look fab.
This week went back to basics and have lost 6 pounds since monday. I have gone back to basics as everyone on here suggested and it works. 1 Protein shake in morning , greek yogurt for lunch. Lean Protein for snack when get home from work. Additional lean protein around 7 pm. Also have gotten in all my Water something I never did before. Keeping my carbs at 20 grams and my protein at 90. I am so grateful. That I have this forum to see that I'm not alone on this journey

    Hi Sleevers,
It's been forever since I've posted. I have been at the same weight for a long time. I'm super close to my goal. I was sleeved 2/13/12. I'm very happy that I had it done. Wish I would have done it sooner.
I wanted to get back on track and start losing again. I did the 5 day pouch test. I wasn't sure if was going to work...but it did. I'm super happy with the results. Not only did I lose 6 pounds in 5 days I've gain the feeling of more restriction. I'm getting in 90 grams of Protein now, drinking 64 ounces of Water and really trying to focus on what works best for my sleeve.
I know I can maintain my weight. I've done that for months now. But now It finally feels like my goal will happen sooner than later.
It's so easy to fall into eating slider foods and taking little bites here and there. (And ice cream sure goes down well too)
I've read so many posts about getting on track. It's possible. I planned for about 2 weeks before doing the pouch test. I mentally prepared. If your struggling...pls know you can get back on track and reach your healthy BMI/goal. We all have come so far!!! Let's do this!!

This is the first New Years I can remember where I don't feel like I failed myself the year before. It's so nice starting a fresh year feeling good about what I've accomplished and where I am. In 2014 I get to continue tweaking what is working for me and make it all even better. To those of you beginning your journey, know that sometimes it will suck and be a royal pain in the butt, but in the end will be worth it 10000x's over. To those of you further out, keep rocking it! It's never too late to take control four lives, even with a bad day, or week, we can always get up tomorrow and start fresh.

    Called me a success today!!
I'm not at my goal but I guess I made some kind of goal for him because he said I'm good, that I look great to him!
my blood work is awesome (Well except that damn iron) I'm a success in his eyes
I know it's kindly corny, but it felt good.
I wanted a certain number going in there today and I didn't hit it and I have been down a bit about it..
It's a stupid number as was pointed out to me (thanks m2g) this morning and I'm going to take the victory lap for now and just keep trying to Work on myself.
