New Year, new us

Recommended Posts

This is the first New Years I can remember where I don't feel like I failed myself the year before. It's so nice starting a fresh year feeling good about what I've accomplished and where I am. In 2014 I get to continue tweaking what is working for me and make it all even better. To those of you beginning your journey, know that sometimes it will suck and be a royal pain in the butt, but in the end will be worth it 10000x's over. To those of you further out, keep rocking it! It's never too late to take control four lives, even with a bad day, or week, we can always get up tomorrow and start fresh.

Yes it's nice not starting a year with a resolution to "finally" start losing some weight. I feel a sense of hope going into the new year that I never used to have. Like actual hope that every year can be better than the year before....rather than worse.

Hey everyone, please keep our friend (Southern Soul )in our prayers she lost her husband in a horrible house fire, a few words of encouragement can go a long way. She was just beginning her new life since her surgery in May &now devastated with this loss down in Georgia area.her heart is very heavy right now...

For once my New Year's resolutions don't just consist of weight loss related items. Nice to know I am already on the right track with that and can focus on other areas I would like to improve.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
