  1. Thoughts & prayers with you my dear! It is a very hard thing to watch our parents deteriorate before our eyes! My dad died 10 y ago and my mom is 85 with a ton of health issues. It's really tough! (((((((((Domika)))))))))
  2. Congratulations! Won't be long now.
  3. I hope you stick around here and learn all you can. Yes, it is only a tool the needs a lot of work from it's owner. Best wishes on your journey!
  4. I went with an empty stomach and Rachel describe things perfectly. I also got 3cc on Monday!
  5. Love the scanner too! Let me show a little of my age, buying a little booklet and having to look up everything, write it down and figure all the Calories,Sugar &Fat. In those days they didn't care about Protein. Wonder I got fat on that diet!lol Love MFP
  6. Learn something new everyday ! That's what I love about LBT.Com!
  7. LOL, better out than in, I always say!
  8. I agree with PG, help yourself and learn a healthier life style and bring those things into your home. You start having healthier choices and daughter will automatically be able to shed lbs. Taking weight off is so much easier when you're younger. It was damn near impossible for this 56yo woman! Your daughter deserves to have a healthy mother!
  9. walking , heating pad and GasX Hope you feel better soon!
  10. Won't be long now, Congratulations!
  11. My Dr also does not allow carbonation. I used to drink only Dt.Mt Dew and since surgery I don't even miss it. Matter of fact, I prefer plain water now.
  12. Congratulations! Sounds like you are experiencing all the normal feelings. I had hernia repair too. Dr. told me that the swelling from that and LB last for first 48hrs and he was right. Everyday that goes by, you'll feel better and better. Try to walk as much as possible, it's one of the only things that helps. Hang in there and follow Dr. orders!
  13. You are right about if the band doesn't work, you can go to sleeve, but can't go the other way! That's why I choose the band to keep all my parts in tact and if the band doesn't work, we'll reconsider. I wanted to start with the least invasive first. I suggest you research them both until you are comfortable with your decision. It's your choice!
  14. I'm not a Dr. but I would imagine unless you're still aggravated and swollen from your issue's, with your band being open more seems like carry on as always. If your issue's were really aggravating I would stick with liquids until you reach Dr. tomorrow.
  15. My staff is just like aj's. Most of staff has had Gastric bypass or LB. I'd like to give The Bariatric Center of Sarasota Memorial Hospital a shout out! They want their patients to succeed and my Dr who I love &adore does not coddle. I wonder about some banders too. Is it get the band and you're on your own? I hope ppl come on here and honestly tell us. Great post Floridays!
  16. That's why when someone without a clue says "you took the easy way out", is full of crap. It ain't easy, but its doable!
  17. Hang in there, you're in "bandster hell". sorry to say, but it could take a few fills to get you out. Hold on!
  18. Thanks for the reminder on whose leading the way! The best to you!
  19. I'm on my phone so I can't see where you are post op, but you should always be able to keep your water down. Give your Dr a call and discuss this with them. You have to worry about dehydration.
  20. First 48 hrs is the roughest b/c of swelling. Every new day gets better & better. Walk as much as possible, it truly does help. Best wishes!
